SF selected election candidate

Sinn Féin have selected sitting TD's Pauline Tully and Matt Carthy to represent the party at the next General Election.
The selection convention took place at the Errigal House Hotel in Cootehill last night, September 3.
Both were selected unanimously at a meeting convened by newly elected Fermanagh and South Tyrone MP Pat Cullen.
Opening speaker was former local TD Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin who took the party's first seat in the 1997 Irish general election.
Together Tully and Carthy polled more than a third of the overall vote (36.7%) in 2020.
Carthy was elected in the first count (16,310 first preferences), and Tully in the second (13,457).
