It will be mostly cloudy today with scattered showers of rain or drizzle and occasional sunny intervals. The best of the sunshine is likely this evening in the east and south of the province. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees in moderate northwest winds.
Clear spells and showers tonight, some of the showers turning heavy and prolonged towards dawn on Wednesday. Minimum temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate westerly breezes.
Wednesday will bring a mix of sunny spells and showers, some of the showers may be heavy and prolonged. The showers will become more isolated later in the afternoon and evening with long spells of sunshine expected. Maximum temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees in fresh northwest winds.

Overview: Turning warmer for Friday and the weekend with sunny spells and perhaps a few heavy showers, especially in the east and south.
Wednesday night: Showers will clear away to the south on Wednesday night with much of the country becoming dry. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in light to moderate northeast winds.
Thursday: It looks set to become mostly cloudy across the eastern half of the country on Thursday with the chance of rain at times in Leinster and east Munster. Current indications suggest it will hold dry further west with good sunny spells, especially in Atlantic coastal areas. Maximum temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in moderate to fresh northerly winds. There is a chance of further rain or drizzle in parts of the east and south on Thursday night but it will be largely dry elsewhere. Areas of mist forming in light to moderate northwest winds. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.
Friday: Warm and humid on Friday with spells of sunshine in many areas. However, it looks set to be somewhat cloudier in southern coastal areas where there is the chance of rain and drizzle. Maximum temperatures generally ranging from 21 to 24 degrees in moderate to fresh northerly winds. Close and humid on Friday night with areas of mist and fog forming in places. Whilst much of the country will be dry there is the potential for a few heavy downpours to develop in south Leinster and south Munster. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees with light to moderate northeast winds.
Saturday: Mist and fog lifting from most areas on Saturday morning to leave a mix of cloud and warm sunshine. It looks set to be mostly dry, but there is the chance of a few heavy showers, especially across the southern half of the country. Highest temperatures of 21 to 24 degrees but a little cooler at the coast. Mist and fog may drift into coastal fringes at times. Humid and close on Saturday night with areas of mist and fog. The chance of a few heavy showers breaking out in the south of the country but most areas will be dry. Lowest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in light northerly winds.
Sunday: Current indications suggest it will be rather cloudy on Sunday with the chance of a few showers. Highs of 16 to 20 degrees.
