Man airlifted after workplace accident in Ballyconnell

A man was airlifted from West Cavan to receive emergency care after a work place accident today. It's understood the incident occurred at a business premises in Ballyconnell and the man was flown by helicopter to receive medical care this evening.

Given the incident occurred in a workplace environment it is currently under investigation by the Health and Safety Authority.

A spokesperson for the HSA told The Anglo-Celt: "The HSA are aware of the incident and have launched an investigation. No further information is available at this time."
