Dry today with sunny spells

Friday will be a dry day across most areas with sunny spells. A little cloudier and breezy at times across the West and Northwest where the odd light shower will occur. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees, best values further east, all in mostly moderate southwest wind.

Tonight will remain dry for much of the country under broken cloud. However, some showers will move into the West and Northwest. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees in mostly light southwest breezes.

Saturday will be cloudy with scattered showers moving in across the country. However, parts of the South and East though will stay fully dry with sunny spells gradually breaking through. Highs of 15 to 19 degrees in mostly moderate southwesterly winds.

Besides the odd light shower it will be dry under broken cloud Saturday night. Lows of 9 to 13 degrees in mostly light west to southwest winds, fresher near Atlantic coasts.

Sunday should be overall dry with a mix of cloud and some sunny spells, though a few well scattered showers will occur too. Sunnier skies will gradually extend from southern counties later. Highs of 16 to 21 degrees, coolest across the North and West in mostly moderate westerly winds.

Becoming breezy next week with low pressure areas feeding in some rain or showers at times.

Some uncertainty in the details but current indications suggest it will turn breezy Monday with outbreaks of rain moving in across the country from early on with some heavy spells and spot flooding later. Highs of 16 to 19 or 20 degrees with fresh and gusty southerly winds developing.

Cool and breezy on Tuesday with showers, most frequent across Ulster and Connacht. Sunny spells too with parts of the East and Southeast staying fully dry and with late sunshine developing fairly widely as showers ease. Highs of 15 to 18 degrees generally with brisk westerly winds.
