Sunny spells and scattered showers

Friday will be a day of sunny spells and scattered passing showers. A few heavy showers will occur into the afternoon and early evening. Towards nightfall, low cloud and rain and drizzle will arrive into western areas. Fresher than recent days with highs of 16 to 18 degrees, best values further east, all in a light to moderate southwest breezes.
Tonight will be generally dry early on. However, rain and drizzle further west will become more widespread across the province later - some heavy bursts are likely with low cloud, mist and fog in parts too. Lows of 9 to 11 degrees with light to moderate southwesterly winds.
Overnight rain will clear into the Irish Sea early on Saturday morning with sunny spell and scattered showers soon following. The odd heavy shower will occur later. Highs of 17 to 19 degrees. West to northwest winds will be mostly moderate in strength.
National Outlook
OUTLOOK: Warm and humid weather developing. Some thundery showers possible towards midweek.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Dry with clear spells and light southerly breezes. Some mist locally. A little cool in places with lows of 7 to 11 degrees.
SUNDAY: Any mist will clear early on to leave a dry day with warm spells of hazy sunshine, possibly cloudier later further west. Highs of 18 to 23 degrees further east, in light to moderate southwest breezes. Generally dry overnight but with the chance of patchy mist and drizzle in places. Lows of 11 to 15 degrees in light southwest breezes.
MONDAY: Some uncertainty, but at present a good deal of dry weather is expected with warm sunny spells and just light southwest breezes. However, low cloud and patchy rain will likely affect Atlantic coastal areas, where it will be coolest. Highs of 17 to 24 degrees, warmest across the Midlands, Southeast and East.
TUESDAY: Overall dry and calm with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. The odd shower may occur later. Warm and humid with temperatures widely rising to the low 20s.
WEDNESDAY: Again warm and humid with temperatures in the low, possibly mid 20s. While there will be a good deal of dry weather with hazy sunshine, some thundery showers could break out.
