Generally unsettled with rain or showers. The best of the dry intervals will be on Monday. That's the latest weather outlook from Met Éireann
A dry start this morning (Saturday) with some sunny spells. Cloud will thicken from the southwest through the day, with rain and drizzle developing in Munster in the morning and slowly tracking northeastwards. It will stay mainly dry with sunny spells in Ulster and north Leinster until late evening. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, southeasterly winds.
Rain over much of the country early in the night will continue to track northeastwards, clearing from the southwest to showers through the night. Some of the showers may be heavy. Temperatures not falling below 9 to 12 degrees in light southeasterly winds, veering southwesterly.
The last of the rain will clear the north through the morning on Sunday and early afternoon, leaving a day with a mix of cloud, sunny spells and scattered showers. Some of the showers will be heavy or possibly thundery with a chance of spot flooding. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees generally, slightly cooler for Atlantic coasts, in mostly moderate southwest to west winds.
Clear spells with scattered showers gradually easing through Sunday night. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees in moderate westerly winds.
Monday will see sunny spells and showers with the showers becoming lighter and more isolated through the day. There is a chance of cloudier conditions along with some rain and drizzle moving into the west and southwest in the evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in moderate westerly winds.
Tuesday is expected mostly cloudy in the morning with outbreaks of rain moving eastwards over the country with the chance of some heavy falls at times. Some sunny spells will develop later as the rain clears to showers. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees generally.
