Hearts host secret single launch gig
The Savage Hearts last week claimed the top spot, however briefly, on the Irish iTunes Charts following the release of their new single 'Gang War' and its accompanying b-side 'Speed Kills'.
The accomplishment came at the expense of the likes of 'Queen Bey' Beyoncé and her recent forray into country tuneage, not to mention the likes of Journey's 2024 remastered 'Don't Stop Believin'', the Kings of Leon's new single 'Mustang', and even Metallica's 'Master Of Puppets'.
The Savage Hearts, formed in 2022 by ex Strypes' drummer Evan Walsh, will officially launch their debut single at an invite only event to take place at a secret location in the county this coming weekend.
Hosted by Blue Valentines, the launch party will see the band take to the stage at around 10:30pm on Saturday night, with a discotheque planned after and music by DJ Red Bexter.
The band have made several exciting appearances on touring circuit to date, including rip-roaring sets at Electric Picnic (2022 & 2023), Sea Sessions, Kaleidoscope and as special guests of The Boomtown Rats in July 2023 for Cavan Calling.
It has just been announced that The Savage Hearts will be returning to Bundoran's Sea Sessions (June 21-23) again this coming summer, sharing a bill along side the likes of former Smith's guitarist Johnny Marr.
Their track 'Gang War' is released in collaboration with Galway-based Blowtorch Records, an Irish indie record label whose stable includes other fast rising Irish acts Adore, Turnstiles, Search Results, TV People and The Swedish Railway Orchestra.
