Mostly dry day with some sunny spells

Mostly dry today with a mix of cloud and some sunny spells. A few showers are possible, mainly in the east and north. During the evening, thicker cloud along with patchy drizzle will develop in the southwest. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees, coolest in Ulster, in moderate to fresh easterly winds, strong on coasts. There will be unusually high tides with the possibility of coastal flooding in the southwest.

Becoming rather cloudy tonight with some light rain or drizzle at times for southern areas. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees generally, coldest in the north and west with the best of the clear spells. Moderate to fresh east to northeast winds, strong on coasts. Unusually high tides will bring the possibility of coastal flooding for all coasts.

A fair amount of cloud expected tomorrow along with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Driest generally in the west and northwest. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in moderate to fresh east to northeast winds. Unusually high tides will bring the possibility of coastal flooding for all coasts.

A good deal of cloud over the south and east of the country with further outbreaks of rain. Drier with clear spells in the north and west. Lowest temperatures generally of 1 to 5 degrees in mostly moderate northeast winds.

Sunday will see plenty of cloud with further outbreaks of rain expected, especially in the eastern half of the country. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate north to northeast winds.

Outbreaks of rain will continue overnight on Sunday, mainly near the Irish Sea. Further west it will be drier with some clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees in light to moderate northerly breezes.

Monday is expected to be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, mainly over the eastern half of the country. Later in the day, some sunny spells will break through as the rain becomes patchier. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in moderate northerly breezes, falling light later.

Mostly dry overnight on Monday with a mix of cloud and clear spells and some patchy light rain or drizzle. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees in light northerly or variable breezes.

On Tuesday, any remaining patches of rain and drizzle will clear through the morning as sunny spells and scattered light showers develop for the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees in light variable breezes.

Further Outlook: Current indications suggest that it will turn more unsettled for midweek with rain and showers.
