Celebrating success in Mullahoran!

Mullahoran GFC enjoyed a night of celebration last Sunday in the Crover House Hotel as medals were presented to successful underage teams.

For the boys, the U13 Div 1 League winners received their county medals; as did the Minors, who won the Div 1 League and reached the Championship final.

The Ladies enjoyed tremendous success in 2023 with medals presented for the U14, U16 and Minor teams - at the top level of competitions.

A panel discussion took place including Kieran Callaghan, county board chairman; Mick Flynn, Cavan ladies Div 1A manager and All-Ireland winner; Mullahoran and county star, Killian Brady; Ashling Sheridan, Mullahoran ladies star and Collingwood player.

Seanie Smith and Kathryn Cullen jointly performed the roles of MC for the evening.

Mick Flynn had some sage words of wisdom: “We never asked anyone to win anything, we just asked them to give 100%, every time.”

Killian ‘the Gunner’ went a step further with his advice - telling the young players to give “110%” every time and also advising them of some difficult “lifestyle choices” ahead if they are serious about their football.

Kieran Callaghan remarked that Mullahoran, as a club, is “always to the fore” in the county - on and off the pitch.

The presentations were followed by bingo and a disco, concluding what was a most successful year for the club.
