Mary Cahill (Nee Donohoe) 5 Woodlands, Ballyhaise, Co.Cavan, Tuesday April 29th 2025, peacefully at her home in the loving care of her family. Predeceased by her parents Philip and Annie, husband John, brothers Phil, Micky, John and Jimmy, sisters Rosie, Nellie, Cathy and Maggie, sister in law Peggy and her niece Kathleen Gilsenan. Mary will be very sadly missed by her daughter Ann, her son Noel, grandchildren Kelly and Molly, great grandchildren Alfie, George, Vincent and Cherry, brother in law Pat, sister in law Patsy, nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces, all her extended family, good neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at her home in Woodlands on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.30am to St.Mary's Church, Ballyhaise, arriving for Funeral mass at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in St.Patrick's Cemetery, Castletara. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Palliative Care Unit at Cavan General Hospital.

John Langan

4 Kilconny Street, Belturbet, Cavan / Cootehill, Cavan

John Langan 4 Kilconny St. Belturbet and formerly Church St. Cootehill, Co. Cavan. 27th April 2025 suddenly at his residence. Predeceased by his Father Richard and Brother Richard. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving Family, his partner Mary, Sons Declan (Mary), Patrick (Sharon), John (Laura), Marie (Alan), Mother Peggy, Sister Margaret (Paul), his children’s Mother Marie, Grandchildren, Uncle Willie (Dodie), Nephews, Nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home (H16 FD25), Cootehill this Thursday evening from 5 o’clock to 8 o’clock. Removal leaving Mullen’s Funeral Home on Friday morning at 10.30 to arrive St. Michael’s Church Cootehill for 11 o’clock Funeral mass, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

(née Sexton)

Ardmone, Canningstown, Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of Mary Lynch (nee Sexton) Ardmone, Canningstown, Cootehill, Co.Cavan. Died Tuesday 29th April 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband Gerry, her sister Teresa and brother Andy.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family her sons Andy (Majella), John (Yvonne) and Joe (Golda), daughters Ann (Sean), Marie (Terry), Josie (Sean) and Monica (John), her adored 17 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and extended family.

May her gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at the residence of her son Andy and Majella Lynch Ardmone, Canningstown (H16YP02), this Tuesday evening 29th April from 7pm-10pm. Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough Wednesday evening 30th April from 5pm - 8pm. Removal from Ardmone on Thursday morning 1st May arriving at St.Brigid's Church, Knockbride West for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Bishop Brendan Comiskey, SS.CC., D.D.

Tasson, Clontibret, Co. Monaghan & the Sacred Hearts Community, Ranelagh, Dublin 6.

Peacefully, in the loving and kind care of the staff at the Louth County Hospital, Dundalk, on the 28th April 2025.

Predeceased by his parents: Clare (McArdle,) and Patrick J. Comiskey, Sisters: Genevieve & May; Brothers: Edmond, Joseph, Kevin, Patrick, Maurice, Peter & Sean.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by his loving and attentive nieces and nephews and their families; extended family; Sisters, Brothers & Secular Branch members of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary; Bishop Ger Nash and the clergy, religious and laity of the diocese of Ferns and the Archdiocese of Dublin; and Brendan’s wide circle of friends.

10th September 1934 – 24th April 2025.

It is with full and peaceful hearts we announce the death of our wonderful mum, friend & confidante ’Granny Anne’. Who passed away peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Ashbury nursing home surrounded by the love of family and friends with her exceptional nieces and nephews and her best friend Ann at her bedside.

Now happily reunited with her loving husband Eamon, her son Edward, her grandson James as well as her brothers and sisters.

Memories of her warm and gentle soul will be forever remembered by her loving children Orlaith and Michael, son-in-law John. Her adored grandchildren Anna, Caroline, Rachael, Oisin, and the late James, Anna's husband Aaron, Rachael's partner John, and all her extended family and friends, who added so much to her life.

Sorrow passes, as all things do. Death is not the end of love.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary McArdle, his brothers, Sean, Brian and Peadar, his sister- in- law, Sheila McArdle, his brother-in-law, Barry Fox, his niece, Sonya Lochner and his nephew, Jason McArdle.

Cherished and much loved father of Keith (Christine), Gordon, Aaron (Roselyn) and Conor (Stephanie). Removal on Thursday morning from Martin's family room at 10.00am to arrive at St Mary's Church, Urbleshanny, for 11.00am Funeral Mass, followed by private Cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Austins' funeral cortège to the church from Newbliss will travel via Monaghan, Ballinode, (walking from Austin's residence to the main Rd) and on to Scotstown.

Teresa McGuigan née O’Rourke, Tullanacrunnat, Castleblayney, Tuesday 29th April peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Nancy, and her brother Vincent.

Deeply regretted and remembered with love by her devoted family, husband Seamus, daughter Louise, (Eamon), sons Francis (Aisling) and Gavin (Lorraine). Grandchildren, Emma, Cadhla, Cara, Conall and Aaron, her brothers, Philip, Michael, Mark and Dessie, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Hughes Funeral Directors premises (A75 KC66) on Wednesday from 4pm to 6pm.

Teresa will repose privately among her family, close friends and neighbours at her home at all other times.

Removal on Thursday morning at 10:30 am arriving for funeral mass at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Castleblayney, continuing on afterwards for private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
