Popular hotel worker to be laid to rest

Thousands have paid their respects following the death of local man Patrick Donohoe from Ballyhaise.
His funeral is taking place at St Mary's Church, Ballyhaise, this morning.
Mr Donohoe (43) died suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, April 22.
He is the son of Eamon and Kathleen, owners of John V. Donohoe's Bar in the village, and brother Susanna and Maria. He is pPre-deceased by his aunt Susanna, uncles Paddy and John.
His death is also mourned by his aunts Mary D'Arcy, Maura McGurren, Vera Argue and Angela Flynn, uncles Jim Leonard, Thomas Leonard and Joseph Leonard, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many, many friends.
Affectionately known as 'Reg', he worked at the Hotel Kilmore for 28 years.
In a post on social media, management of the Cavan hotel stated that the late Mr Donohoe “wasn't just someone we worked with- he was a true presence in the building. Always smiling, always welcoming, and always ready for a chat, he brought warmth and kindness to everyone who crossed his path”.
A Liverpool FC fan who often travelled to games, a photograph of the Cavan man will feature in the matchday programme when the team plays Tottenham on Sunday.
