Cuan blown away by Deja Vu fundraiser

The bubbly will be flowing for a day of celebration tomorrow (Saturday), March 29, at Deja Vu on Church Street marking 10 years in business at the heart of Cavan Town.

Established in 2015 by Gemma Carolan and Annette Baxter, Deja Vu has a special fundraiser planned All customers who avail of a blow dry on the day will make a donation to Cuan Cancer Care.

Speaking to The Anglo-Celt, Gemma explained her motivation: “My own mum had cancer and she availed of the services at Cuan, and Claire, one of our stylists here at the salon, has been receiving cancer treatment for the last year, and she too is availing of Cuan.

"Everyone knows what a vital and important service it is here in Cavan and we just want to raise as much as we can for the centre.”

The salon will open from 10am-5pm this Saturday; blow drys can be booked in advance or just walk in on the day!

"Some staff members who worked with us in the past are coming back on Saturday so we’ll have a good few stylists here; our friends are coming too so there is going to be lots of help and lots of blow drys done,” laughed Gemma.

“Chapter One and Latte Da are also doing the food and refreshments, and customers will definitely find themselves indulging a little. There will be no set price on the blow dry - people can donate whatever they want to give themselves," she explained.

Everyone is welcome to join in the celebrations at Deja Vu on Saturday. If you can’t make it on the day, the iDonate page is open and one lucky person will win a blow dry every week for a year!
