Hughie Smith, Ryefort, Carrickaboy, Co Cavan, Friday 28th March peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his parents Michael and Margaret, sisters Monica Fay and Anna Daly.

Beloved husband of Eileen and dear father of Michael, John (Ciara), Hubert (Tracey), Martin (Zara), Fiona (Mikey), Brendan (Grainne), Emer (Andrew) and Colette (James).

Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters sons in law, daughters in law his 14 adored grandchildren, sisters Rosemary, Kitty, Teresa and Marian, brothers in law Pat Smith, Francie Fay, Martin Hynes, Pat Daly, John Delaney, sister in law Nuala Delaney, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Harborne, Birmingham and formerly of Garryfluigh, Corraleehan, Co Cavan

Peacefully on his 80th birthday, 14th March 2025, in the care of his daughter Michelle.

Predeceased by his wife Mary, parents Michael and Kathleen, brother Benny and sisters Bridie, Josie, Kathleen and Theresa Carmel.

Loved dearly and sadly missed by his children Marie, Michelle and Patrick; his grandchildren Mary, Katie, Patrick and Charlie; his brothers Dominic and Eugene; his sisters Mary and Bernadette, all in the extended Wynne families, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Removal from Smith's Funeral Home, High St. Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim N41 TD62, on Thursday evening, 3rd April, to arrive at St. Brigid’s Church, Corraleehan at 7pm.

Funeral Mass at 12 noon on Friday 4th April followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
