Thomas (Tom) Maguire

Urney, Ballinagh, Cavan

Thomas (Tom) Maguire, Urney, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. Sunday 16th March peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital. Pre-deceased by his parents Patrick and Posie and his brother Henry.

Beloved husband of Margaret and dear father of Adrian (Carol), Ann (Steve), Louise (Ciaran), Regina (Anthony), Pauric (Therese), Mairèad (Damien) and Josephine (Niall).

Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, sons in law, daughters in law, his adored 19 grandchildren, brothers Paddy (Molly) and Terence, sisters Margaret (Tony rip) and Breege (Phil), brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at his home on Monday 17th March from 3.00pm until 7.00pm with shuttle bus from Ballinagh community centre, house private at all other times please.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 3.00pm in St Felim's Church Ballinagh, Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery

Peter Prior

Bawnboy, Co. Cavan and late of Derrinever, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim

Peacefully at Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan on the 16th March 2025.

Predeceased by his wife Kitty (née Ryan), parents Hugh and Rose Anne, brother Bernie (Bernard), sisters Katie (Kate Ann), Margaret Nicholson and Tess (Teresa) Rice, sister-in-law Joan, brothers-in-law Michael, Jim and Michael.

Peter will be sadly missed by his sisters Rose Mc Loughlin and Bridie Forde & brother-in-law Bill. Much loved uncle to his many nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Smith's Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim N41TD62, on Tuesday evening March 18th from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday March 19th in St.Brigid's Church, Corraleehan at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully, aged 49 years, in the exceptional and loving care of her family, friends and staff of St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, following a long illness borne with great dignity and humour. Predeceased by her mother Annamay and her infant son Dylan. Caroline will be forever loved and sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Martin, her adored sons, Aaron, Shane and Ryan, her loving father Les and dear brother Paul. Brothers in Law, Sisters in law, Uncles and Aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at her home, Drumrath, Virginia, A82DA56, on Monday (St. Patrick's Day) from 2pm to 9pm. Requiem Funeral Mass on Tuesday in St Mary’s Church, Cross, A82CK73 at 11am, followed by interment in St. Kilians Cemetery, Mullagh.

John Joseph (J.J.) Woolley

Swan View, Dublin Road, Navan, Meath / Kingscourt, Cavan

The death has occurred of John Joseph (J.J.) Woolley, Swan View, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath, and formerly of Cornakill, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, who passed away peacefully at Castleross Nursing Home, 15th March 2025.

Predeceased by his brother Packie and his sister Sarah Gaskin. Deeply regretted by his daughter Aisling, her mother Theresa, his sister Rose, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Hall Street, Kingscourt (A82 R3W2), on Tuesday, 18th March, from 6pm to 8pm. J.J.’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt, on Wednesday, 19th March, at 10am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Hill Head, Coolartra, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Francis Sylvester McAdam, Birmingham and late of Hill Head, Coolartra, Clontibret, Co.Monaghan on Saturday, January 25th at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Predeceased by his parents, John Anthony and Catherine Ann, his brother Tommy, sisters Kitty and Mary.

Beloved brother of John, Maureen, Barbara, Susan and a legend of an Uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews. Frank is a huge loss to his family and will be deeply missed.. he was a big man with a big heart.

The death has occurred of Dympna Woods, Ashview Court, Castleblayney. Sunday March 16th, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her daughter Sharon Tice and husband Brendan, by her parents Patrick and Mary Hanratty, brother Packie-Sean, sisters Ena and Phil.

Dympna, remembered with love by her son Carl, and daughter in law Dawn, son in law Maneck, sisters Babs (Mc Guinness) and May (Mc Mahon), grandchildren Danielle, Joseph, Jack, Ruby and Talulla, great grandson Lewis, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

The death has occurred of Kathleen Hand, (nee Flynn), Carnowen, Smithborough, Co. Monaghan (H18 XD72), and formerly of Carveetra, Clones, Co. Monaghan, Saturday 15th March 2025, peacefully in the excellent care of the staff of the Rossmore unit, Monaghan Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husband Kevin (who passed away recently, 19th September 2024), her parents Mick and Maureen, her sister Margo Maloney, her brother Michael (died 14th June 2024) and her nieces, Deirdre and Mary (who died in infancy).

Cherished and adored Mother of Patricia, Anthony and Raymond (Ciara). Kathleen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughter, sons, daughter-in-law, much loved grandchildren, Éala, Éirinn and Blaithín, brothers Ollie, Peter, Fintan (Monica) and Paul (Nicola), sisters-in-law, Ann and Anna, brothers-in-law, Eddie and Eamon, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours, many friends and by all who knew and loved Kathleen.

Kathleen will be repose at the family home Carnowen, Smithborough H18 XD72, on Monday (17th) and Tuesday (18th) from 5pm until 9pm.

Kathleen's Funeral procession will leave the family home on Wednesday morning at 10:15am to arrive at St. Mary's Chapel, Magherarney, Smithborough for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
