A big win in Bailieborough

A Bailieborough woman is still celebrating following her £125,000 win with online competition platform HITTIN IT BIG.

Mother of four Sarah Regan was winding down on a Sunday night when she received a call from the competition organisers, informing her that she had won the amount.

"I couldn't believe it to tell you the truth," she said, adding that it was an "unbelievable" amount of money.

So far, she has "cleared off" her mortgage, bought herself a new car and plans to book a holiday in the near future.

Her four children Caoimhe, Fiadh, Caitlyn and Dylan were "over the moon" when they heard the news.

"They didn't know what was going on, it was very late at night and I think I woke them all up because I was so excited."

She entered the competition on Facebook and bought 23 tickets at a cost of £22.31, buying more than she usually would on this day as the platform had a half price promotion running.

She regularly enters Ooosch and HITTIN IT BIG competitions, having previously spent €5 every week on the National Lottery.

"I was winning nothing on that so I changed it," she said.

She said "you don't really hear of too many people winning it".

However, now that she knows there's "some truth behind it", Sarah plans to continue purchasing tickets.

"I definitely will," she added.
