Screwfix store plan for Cavan

Screwfix, one of the UK's largest retailers of trade tools and hardware products, is preparing to open a store in Cavan Town.

Geared Up Limited has submitted plans to Cavan County Council regarding the change of use of Unit 1, Kilmore Business Park, Dublin Road, Cavan Town.

As part of the application, submitted to planners last week, a detailed signage plan was also included with the words 'Screwfix Open Every Day' and also 'Screwfix Coming Soon'.

The application is for the change of use of the unit from light industrial to warehouse with trade counters for the “sale of building related products principally to trade”.

Both Unit 1 and its neighbouring property were recently put up for rent.

Kilmore Business Park is home to well known businesses including Blackstone Motors, The Anglo-Celt, Cavan Autoparc, Cavan Digital HUB and the newly occupied HSE offices among others.
