Eleven patients waiting on trolleys after weekend
The number of people waiting on trolleys at Cavan General Hospital after the weekend is eleven.
The figure has decreased by eight since last Monday, when there was 19 people waiting on trolleys at the local hospital.
The figures were reported this morning by nurses as part of the daily trolley watch count from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
Nationally there are 694 admitted patients waiting for beds this morning. Four hundred and fifty seven patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 237 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
