Digging the digital theme this International Women's Day
Cavan Women in Business Network (CWBN) will host a special breakfast event on Friday, March 7, to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Part of Local Enterprise Week 2025, the event will provide a platform for local businesswomen to connect, learn, and celebrate their achievements.
With the theme 'The Digital Advantage: Grow, Engage, Thrive', the event highlights the power of social media for business growth.
Keynote speaker Caroline O’Neill, who is the founder of Digg for Success and The Digg Podcast, will share insights on leveraging digital platforms for success.
A renowned entrepreneur and social media strategist, Caroline has built an engaged community of over 250,000 followers and has helped thousands of professionals grow their businesses online.
Additionally, digital marketing specialist, Michelle Rankin, will lead a mini-workshop on crafting an effective social media strategy.
Attendees will also hear from Head of Enterprise at Local Enterprise Office, Cavan, Conor Craven on available business supports; while Food Strategy Co-Ordinator with Cavan County Council, Dermot Gallagher, will introduce the Craft Network, outlining opportunities for local artisans and makers.
Margaret McKeon-Boyle of Extensive PR and coordinator of CWBN will once again act as Master of Ceremonies, guiding attendees through a morning of networking and inspiration.
Speaking on the event, Mr Craven said International Women's Day is "a time to celebrate the achievements of women in business, while also looking forward to new opportunities for growth".
While the day falls on a Saturday this year, he said they are "delighted" to mark the occasion on March 7 with this "inspiring event", which will give women in business a "chance to connect, learn, and thrive".
