Susan (Sue) Sheridan née Reilly Saturday 8th of February 2025. Reading, Berkshire, formerly of Edenticlare, Killygarry, Co Cavan.

Sadly missed by her loving sons Wayne, Daryl and family.

Predeceased by her mum and dad Mary and Jack and her brothers Raymond and Kevin.

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) McGovern, Finnerville, Bundoran, Co. Donegal, F94 R206 and formerly Derrynananta, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan.

Peacefully at North West Hospice, Sligo surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his beloved son Paul, his parents Ann and Pat, Sister Mary (New York).

Pat is a much loved husband to Ann, adored father to Patrick (Gillian), Kelly (Paul) and Philip (Gary), much loved grandfather to Rachael, Molly, Theresa, Elli, Emily and RJ. Pat will be sadly missed by his sister Nora, brothers Jack, Phil, Benny, Joe and all his extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his residence Tuesday the 18th February from 2pm to 8pm. House strictly private at all other times please. Removal on Wednesday the 19th of February to The Church of Our Lady Star of The Sea, Bundoran for 11am funeral mass Followed by burial afterward in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery, Cashelard.

Siobhan Smith

(née Keogh)

Cornabaste, Tullyvin, Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of Siobhan Smith (Keogh), Cornabaste, Tullyvin, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. Died suddenly 16th February 2025. Siobhan was a much cherished daughter, sister, niece, aunty, sister-in-law, partner and friend. She will be missed by many including her colleagues in Univet Tullyvin

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill (H16 FD25) this Tuesday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday afternoon at 1pm in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Drung (H12 Y409), followed by Cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

House Private on Wednesday morning please.

Elizabeth Maud ( Betty ) Soden

The death has occurred of Elizabeth Maud (Betty) Soden (nee Lockington) Corrinary, Drum, Co Monaghan.

Passed away peacefully on Monday the 17th of February 2025 in the care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital surround by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Herbert Soden and her sister Susan Duffy.

Betty will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her loving family, Maureen (Trevor Windrum), Ronald (Betty), Hilary (Hugh Speares), Lorna (David Armstrong), Leslie (Daphne). Adored grandmother to her 15 grandchildren Lois, Sharon, Naomi, Daniel (Naomi), Karen, Steven, Aaron, Tara, Philip, Alan, Ben, Eva, Amy, Paul and Thomas. Sister Evelyn (Joey Chiarito) USA, brother-in-law John Duffy, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Resting at the home of her son Leslie and daughter-in-law Daphne (H16P206) Tuesday the 18th of February from 5pm until 9pm and on Wednesday the 19th of February from 3pm until 9pm.

House strictly private to family on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral cortege will leave on Thursday the 20th of February at 1:30pm to arrive at Drum Presbyterian Church, Drum, Co Monaghan (H16KR60) for funeral service at 2pm followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please donations if so desired, in lieu of flowers to Postal Bible School and to Drum Presbyterian Church c/o George Hall Funeral Director or any family member.

The family would like to thank you for your kind messages, prayers and support at this difficult time.

James Kelly

Drumhirk, Aghabog, Monaghan, H18D368

The death has occurred of James Kelly, Drumhirk, Aghabog, Co. Monaghan, Friday 14th February 2025, suddenly and unexpectedly at home. Predeceased by his beloved daughter Helen and his father Felix.

James will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his heartbroken mother Eileen, son Liam (Ciara), Liam's mother Patricia, brothers Felix (Heather) and Joseph and his much loved sister Helen, adored grandson Oscar, nephews Curtis, Shane and Preston, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours, many friends, and by all who loved and cared for James.

James will be resting at the family home, Drumhirk, Aghabog, Co. Monaghan (H18 D368), on Tuesday (18th) from 6pm to 9pm and on Wednesday (19th) from 4pm to 9pm, (family time at all other times please, including Thursday morning) with removal on Thursday morning (20th), at approx 10.15am to St. Mary's Chapel, Aghabog arriving for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
