The death has occurred of Francie Lynch, Mullaghmore, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan and formerly Stoney Road, Oldcastle, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his wife Marian, his parents Frank and Kathleen, his brothers Pat and Philip and his sister Bernadette.

Much loved father of Sandra (Phair) and Amanda (Ferguson).

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving daughters, his sons in law Noel and Damien and his cherished and adored grandchildren- Flynn, Clodagh, Ewan and Lauren, his brother Martin and his sisters May, Carmel and Elizabeth, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82YV58) on Monday evening from 5 o'clock until prayers at 8 o'clock.

Removal to St. Mary’s Church, Castlerahan on Tuesday for 1.30 Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

May his gentle soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

Gemma McCabe

(née Mullan)

Cloverhill, Bailieborough, Cavan / Sutton, Dublin

Gemma McCabe (née Mullan), Cloverhill, Bailieborough, Co Cavan and formerly of Sutton, Co Dublin died on the 15th February 2025, peacefully under the wonderful care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her sons Conor, Adrian and Justin.

Dearly beloved and greatly missed wife of Pat for 63 years and loving mother to Vivienne (O'Connor). She was a loving grandmother to Ruairí, Melanie, Ella, Nicola, Aaron, Shéa and Eve and mother-in-law to Donagh.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her sister Maureen (McCarthy), late brother George, brothers-in-law Bill, Kevin and the late Denis, sisters-in-law Rita, Nancy and Mary. Fondly remembered by all her nieces, nephews, cousins, family, many friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Monday 17th February from 5pm - 7pm. Removal from her residence Tuesday morning to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough for Funeral Mass at 12 o'clock. Burial afterwards in St. Anne's Cemetery. Nuala Smith

(née Murphy)

Oldtown, Gortnakesh, Cavan Town, Cavan

Nuala Smith (nee Murphy), 3 Willow Ridge, Oldtown, Gortnakesh, Cavan. Sunday the 16th February 2025, peacefully at home in the loving care of her family.

Nuala will be sadly missed by her devoted and heartbroken husband Tommy, her adored children Tracey (Mark), Sharon, Steve (Caroline) and her cherished grandchildren Evie, Sophie, Adam, Summer, Sam and Sofia, her sisters and brother, nieces, nephews and all her relatives and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Nuala will repose at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan H12 C821 on Monday evening from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 10 am in St Brigid's Church, KIllygarry. Family cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium Dublin Road, Cavan.

The death has occurred of Siobhan Smith (Née Keogh), Cornabaste, Tullyvin, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. Died suddenly 16th February 2025. Siobhan was a much cherished daughter, sister, niece, aunty, sister-in-law, partner and friend. She will be missed by many. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Sunday February 16th peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital. Beloved husband of Maureen and dear father of Adrian, Amanda, Liam and Shane.

Pre-deceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget Tierney, brother Vinny and sister Patricia.

Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter, son in law Eamonn, daughters in law, Carmel and Louise, his adored grandchildren Ciarán, Darragh, Sadhbh and Seán, brother Tom, sisters Mary, Margaret, Pauline, Kitty and Betty.

Friday 14th February 2025.

Unexpectedly but peacefully in the loving care of her husband and family in her home.

Cecelia will be sadly missed by her sons Paul (Donaldson's Rd, Crossmaglen) and Barry, her daughters-in-law Bernadette and Geraldine, her adored grandchildren Eiméar, Aoife, Rebecca, Micheala and Charlie. Remembered fondly by her brother Noel Rice (Keady) and her sister Maureen Kane (Craigavon), her nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Cecelia will repose at her son Barry's home (A75XK07) on Sunday (16th) & Monday (17th) from 11am, until removal on Monday evening to arrive to St Michael's Church, Annyalla for reception prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday morning at 11:30am with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
