Mary Jane (Molly) Turner

Ashfield, Cootehill, Cavan

Mary Jane (Molly) Turner, née Rennick, Ashfield Gate Lodge, Ashfield, Cootehill, Co Cavan. Friday 7th February peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Oakview Nursing home, Belturbet.

Pre-deceased by her parents Thomas and Katie, her husband Bob and sister Bridget, brothers Tommy and Con.

Sadly missed by her loving sisters Kay, Ann, Eilish and Josie, brothers Seamus and Paddy, brother in law J.P Malone, sister in law Rosarii, nephews, nieces relatives and friends.

Removal from her home on Monday morning at 9.40am, to St.Patrick's Church, Corrick, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Private cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

Paul Callan

Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Dublin

The death has occurred of Paul Callan SC, Longfield, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, Saturday 8th February 2025, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by his brother Denis and sisters Mary, Rita (Landler) and Joan (Mulcahy). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving nieces, nephews, brother-in-law Paul Landler (Vermont), grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Reposing on Tuesday afternoon at his residence amongst family and close friends from 4pm to 6.30pm. House private at all other times. Removal on Wednesday morning arriving to St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross, A81 K253, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Carrickmacross.

Jolanta Diementiene

Glaslough Street, Monaghan Town, Monaghan / Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Jolanta Diementiene. Glaslough Street, Monaghan & formerly Lithuania. Peacefully, surrounded by her cherished family, at Our Lady of Loudres Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by her husband Arturas.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her beloved family; her daughters Aura (Dangis) and Ziva Redmond (Marcus, Carrickmacross), her much-loved grandsons Kajus & Martynas, her mother-in-law, extended family, neighbours & friends both here in Ireland and in Lithuania.

Jolanta will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Monday, 10th February, from 6pm until 8pm.

Jolanta's funeral cortège will leave the funeral home on Tuesday, 11th February, proceeding to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, arriving for Funeral Service at 11:30am followed by cremation.

No flowers please.

Cabinteely, Dublin / Clones, Monaghan / Omagh, Tyrone / Sligo

Maighread O'Donohue (née O'Harte) of Cabinteely, Co. Dublin and formerly of Clones, Co. Monaghan, Omagh, Co. Tyrone and Co. Sligo died on 6th February, 2025. Cherished wife of the late Gerrard and mother of the late John. Deeply missed by her devoted daughters Mary and Ailsa, grandson Thomas, daughter-in-law Susan, sisters Colette and Loyola and brother Brendan, brother-in-law Vincent, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Maighread will repose at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Friday (14th February) from 4.00pm-6.00pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday (15th February) at 11.00am in St. Brigid’s Church, Cabinteely followed by cremation at Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Merchant’s Quay Ireland.

The death has occurred of Hugh Shannon, Lurganboy, Scotshouse, Co. Monaghan, Saturday, 8th February 2025, suddenly and unexpectedly at home. Predeceased by his much loved wife Rosaleen, and his parents James and Theresa Shannon.

Hugh will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his children, Cíara (Ciarán Galligan, Drung), Lorraine, Edward (Denise, Scotshouse), Stephen, Adrienne, Collette (Colin McCaughey, Clones), Marie (Paul Donaghy, Dundalk), Andrew (Becky, Newbliss), his cherished and adored grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, James, Tiarnán, Eamonn, Killian, Kate, Michael, Sarah, Abbey, Shay, James, Jake, Callum and Brianna, sisters, Rose (Patsy Carroll), Mary (Patsy Reilly) and Eileen (Gerry Gormley), brother, Peter (Bernie), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, neighbours and by all who knew and loved Hugh.
