Settled and cold at first, becoming cloudier with some rain at times. That's the latest weather outlook from Met Éireann for the weekend.
A cold and frosty start this morning with patches of mist and fog. Dry with sunny spells in most areas away from the south at first, but cloud will increase later. Highest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees with light to moderate easterly winds.
Tonight will be cold with widespread frost and icy patches. It will be cloudy in the east with isolated light showers but dry and clear elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of -4 to +1 degrees generally, though not as cold in the east, with light and variable winds.
A cold, dry and bright start for most tomorrow morning, Saturday, but cloudy in the east with isolated light showers. Cloud will increase in most areas as the day goes on but there'll still be occasional sunshine. Highest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in a light northeasterly breeze.
Mostly dry on Saturday night with a mix of cloud and clear spells, but there may be isolated showers in the east and south. Frost and icy patches in some areas as temperatures fall to between -2 and +3 degrees, in a light northeasterly breeze.
Mainly dry and cloudy on Sunday, with just a few light showers near eastern and southern coasts. Highest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees with light to moderate easterly winds.
Continuing largely dry and cloudy overnight on Sunday, although again there will be some light showers near the south and east coast. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees in moderate easterly winds.
Cloudy and breezy on Monday with outbreaks of rain possible in the northeast and southwest. Highest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees in moderate to fresh east to southeast winds.
Mainly cloudy and dry overnighton Monday but some outbreaks of rain are possible in the southwest and west at times. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees in moderate to fresh east to southeast winds.
Dry weather will continue in most areas on Tuesday but patchy rain could linger in the southwest. Highest temperatures of 4 to 6 degrees with moderate to fresh east to southeast winds, easing later.
