Changeable, with rain and breezy conditions at times. Turning a little milder. That's the latest weather outlook for the coming days from Met Éireann.
Cloudy in the south for a time this morning, with some light rain or drizzle possible near the coast. Any mist and fog will clear this morning, leaving a largely dry day with a mix of cloud and sunny spells and just isolated showers. More frequent showers will move into the north and west during the evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees with light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times in the southwest.
Most areas will be dry with clear spells tonight, but there will be scattered showers in the north and west and some of these may be of sleet. It will be cold with frost and ice as temperatures fall to between -2 and +1 degrees. Winds will be light and variable.
Tomorrow will start mostly dry with sunny spells and just isolated showers, mainly in the north and west. Cloud will increase later and outbreaks of rain or drizzle will develop in Atlantic counties by evening. Highest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees with light to moderate south to southwest winds, freshening in the west and northwest later.
Rain will move eastwards across the country on Thursday night and will be heavy at times. Clear spells and isolated showers will follow from the west. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds, easing light to moderate overnight.
Friday is expected dry with hazy sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in light and variable winds, becoming southerly later.
It will become cloudy on Friday night, with some patches of light rain or drizzle developing over the western half of the country. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees with moderate south to southeast winds.
Breezy and cloudy on Saturday with outbreaks of light rain or drizzle. Heavier rain will move into the west and southwest by evening. Highest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees in a moderate to fresh southerly wind.
Cloudy and wet overnight on Saturday with widespread rain, turning heavy at times. Breezy at first with moderate to fresh southerly winds but winds will turn westerly and ease overnight. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees.
Wet in the east on Sunday morning, with some heavy falls of rain. The rain is forecast to clear eastwards from most areas leaving dry and bright conditions, but may linger in the southeast. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with light north to northwest winds.
