Yellow warning for neighbouring counties

High winds could cause further damage to already weakened structures and trees, causing dangerous travelling conditions.

Yellow Status weather warnings issued for counties neighbouring Cavan and Monaghan on both sides of the border are now in effect..

There is a Status Yellow Snow-Ice warning for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo with scattered snow showers becoming isolated overnight with icy stretches.

Sunday will see conditions turn wet and windy with strong to near gale force southeasterly winds developing in the morning, with gale force winds along exposed coasts.

Rain in the southwest will extend northeastwards through the morning and afternoon, with localised flooding possible, especially in southern parts.

A Status Yellow Wind warning is also in place for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Louth, Meath which could cause further damage to already weakened structures and trees and cause dangerous travelling conditions.

The warning is valid from 11:00 Sunday 26/01/2025 to 18:00 Sunday 26/01/2025.
