Thousands homes, farms and businesses still without power

Worst affected areas until later next week and even next week.

Some of the worst affected areas still with power are not expected to have connectivity restored until at least Monday next week.

In Shankill, where there are 1,800 customers affected, power won't be restored until 9pm Monday week (February 3).

Near Killeshandra, at River Valley, 47 customers will be without energy until January 31; with a similar number at Cranaghan close to Ballyconnell out until January 30.

Some 85 customers at Derryham in the Ballyjamesduff will also be out until January 30; and 59 near Shercock at Taghart are out until January 31.

A fault at Drumalee affecting 1,155 has an estimated restore time of Wednesday, February 5.

In some other areas issues have been broken down into individual faults.

Estimated restoration times are provided as network faults are assessed and these will be available to view at www.PowerCheck.ie.

ESB Networks is mobilising all available resources to restore power to thouands of homes, farms and businesses across Cavan as soon as possible.
