Cavan v Monaghan clash to go ahead as scheduled

Cavan senior footballers’ opening-round National League Division 2 clash with Monaghan this evening (Saturday) at 6pm will go ahead as scheduled, the county board have confirmed.

While large swathes of the county remain without power following the storm, it has returned in much of Cavan Town and the match goes ahead.

Meanwhile, Cavan hurlers’ opening-round clash away against Mayo was postponed earlier today. Re-fixture details TBC.
