Thirteen waiting on trolleys at Cavan General

Trolley figures at local hospital down since this day last week.

The number of people on trolleys at Cavan General Hospital today is thirteen.

The figure, which comes after the weekend, is three less than last Monday when there were sixteen people waiting for treatment on trolleys at the local hospital.

The figures were reported this morning by nurses as part of the daily trolley watch count from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Nationally, there are 613 admitted patients waiting for beds, with 421 patients waiting in the emergency department and 192 in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

University Hospital Limerick has 107 patients waiting on trolleys, which is the highest number reported by the INMO this morning.
