Padraic Donohoe
Main Street, Ballyconnell, Cavan
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Padraic Donohoe who died on Wednesday January 8th 2025 suddenly following a short illness at Cavan General Hospital.
Predeceased by his parents John & Josie and his brother Kieran (3 weeks ago).
Padraic will be sadly missed by his family Brendan (Edel), Elizabeth (Pat), Martina (Gerry), Fr. Kevin, Sheila (Damien), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family & a wide circle of neighbours & friends.
May he Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Lawlor's funeral home, Erne Hill, Belturbet on Saturday from 4 o'clock until 7 o'clock. Mass of the resurrection on Sunday January 12th in Our Lady of Lourdes church, Ballyconnell at 2 o'clock followed by private cremation at Lakelands crematorium, Cavan.

Seán (John Joe) Galligan, Lisnalea, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan & formerly Nedd, Doogarry, Killeshandra, Co.Cavan, Died January 9th peacefully at Cavan General Hospital following a short illness surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his loving wife Catherine, his parents James & Bridget, brother Tommy, sister Margaret, sadly missed by his family Cara (Shay), Gráinne (Ollie), Ciarán (Mairéad) & Aoife, grandchildren Dáire, Ben, Rónán, Katie, Leah, Caoimhe, Shane, Mark & Cáit, brother Seamus, sister Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives & friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough (A82 W2H7) tomorrow evening, Friday, January 10th, from 5 o'clock until 8 o'clock. Removal from his residence on Saturday morning to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough for funeral mass at 11 o'clock. Burial afterwards in St. Anne's Cemetery.

Linda (Maura) McCarthy
(née Fitzsimons)
Rathnew, Wicklow / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan
19th June 1953 – 7th January 2025
Rathnew, Co. Wicklow and formerly Rassudden, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan.
Linda passed away suddenly but peacefully on 7th January 2025 in Perth Australia.
Predeceased by her son Tyrone, parents, Francie and Mai Fitzsimons and brother Eamon Fitzsimons and partner Kieran Nichols. Sadly missed by her sons Aaron and Ryan, siblings TJ, Kay, Norbert and Martin, grandchildren Ava and Conor, daughter in law Shaleen, sisters in law, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Maura’s funeral will take place on Friday 10th January in Perth at 3.30pm. (Australian time). To view click HERE

The death has occurred of Mick McGeough, Kilkitt, Shantonagh, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, A75VR82, on Thursday 9th January 2025. Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Alicia, his brothers Pat and Barney, brother in-law Eugene and sisters in-law Peggie and Rose. Deeply loved and sadly missed by his wife Bridie, his daughter Karen and son Ciaran, grandson Jamie, son-in-law John, brothers Jim and Frank, sisters Kathleen, Mary and Maggie, brother in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home, on Friday afternoon from 3pm to 9pm. Removal to Sacred Heart Church Lough Egish (A75 VX44) on Saturday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. House private on Saturday morning to family and neighbours.
