Brendan Gilsenan, Lisigney, Tullyco, Cootehill, Co. Cavan and formerly Lisreagh, Cavan. Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, suddenly. Loving son of the late Tommy and Anna. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Connie and his beloved children Chloe and Adam. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his brothers and sisters Geraldine, Ann, Tony, Teresa, Patricia, John T, Noel and Enda, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephew, extended Gilsenan and Brady families, colleagues, neighbours and friends.

Bridie Smyth, Tonagh, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan. Tuesday, December 31st, (peacefully), in her 99th year, surrounded by her loving family and wonderful staff at The Sheelin Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Andy, sons Tommy and Paddy and son-in-law Jack. Sadly missed by her son Seamus (Sue) daughters; Monica (Bobby) Kathleen (Michael) and Breda, daughters-in-law Josephine and Paula, her 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, sister in law Collette, nieces, nephews, great neighbours and many friends.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Breda Woolsey (née Kennedy), Carryduff, Belfast, and formerly of Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, following an illness very bravely borne, 30th December 2024.

Predeceased by her mother, Bridie Kennedy.

Breda was the much loved wife of Patrick and adored mother of Anna and Tom. She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her father Patrick, her sisters Marie, Fiona, Sinéad, and Karen, her brothers Matthew and Rory, her sisters-in-law Anne and Bernie, Brenda (Garry), and Geraldine (James), her brothers-in-law Peter and Ray, Paul (Ashling), Edmund (Joanne), Stephen (Faye) and Brian, along with her cherished nieces and nephews, her aunts and uncles, her relatives, neighbours, and a large circle of friends.

Breda will be Reposing at O'Kane's Funeral Home, 2 St Jude’s Avenue, Belfast BT7 2GZ, on Wednesday, 1st January, from 12pm until 3pm.

The death has occurred of Frank Hughes Tattindonagh, Ballinode, Co. Monaghan, Wednesday 1st January peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Gretta, his son Patrick, his father and mother Mick and Mary, his brother Jimmy and his sister Maureen O'Callaghan.

Frank is remembered by his sons Francis, Michael, Paul, Laurence and daughter's Anne (Lambe) and Maureen (Irawan), daughters-in-law Patricia and Sinead, sons-in-law Brendan and Ricky. Frank will always be remembered with love by his loving grandchildren Fiona, Alan, Stephen, Darren, Kieran, Caroline, Christopher, Aoife, Ryan, Lauren, Niamh and Rhesa and his fourteen great grandchildren, his sister Anna Hughes(Dallas), brother-in-law Denis O'Callaghan (Dublin) and sister-in-law Sally McMahon.

Bríd's funeral cortège will leave her home on Thursday, 2nd January, proceeding on foot via the Dundalk Road, Farney Street, to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Shelagh beloved wife of the late Paddy, much loved mother of Paddy (Yvonne), Kath (John), Neil (Martina), Patrick and Sinead (John). Dear sister of Nicholas, Bridie and Martin. Adored Grandmother of Katie, Sarah Kate, Jack, PJ, Molly, Grace, William, Patrick, Frankie, Ciaran and Gabriel.

Shelagh will repose at Magee’s funeral home, Inniskeen from 5pm to 9pm Thursday the 2nd of Janurary. Removal on Friday at 10.15am to St Enda’s Church Killanny arriving for 11am Funeral Mass, burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery with her beloved Paddy.

McCahey, William (Liam) former Superintendent, An Garda Síochána, Blackrock Co. Dublin and formerly Castleshane Co. Monaghan. Peacefully on 29th December, 2024, comforted by his loving wife and daughters in St. Vincents University Hospital.

Deeply loved and missed by his beloved wife Veronica, adored daughters Fiona and Ciara, sons-in-law Martin and Alan, and treasured grandchildren Rosalind, William and Eleanor. Deeply regretted by the McCahey and O'Hare families, his former colleagues and his many friends.

The death has occurred of Tom McElroy, Gola, Scotstown, Co Monaghan, Monday 30th December, peacefully surrounded by his family in the wonderful care of the staff in Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Eileen, his son Colm, his brothers Pat and Michael-John (died in infancy) and his sisters Marie & Eilish.

Tom will be forever loved and cherished by his sons, Francis (Pauline), Martin (Carmel), Sean (Mary) and his daughter Mary (Declan). Tom's treasured grandchildren Peter, Fergal, Niamh, Gráinne, Kieran, Darragh & Louise, will always hold the fond memories they have of him, he will be forever remembered by his brother Francie (Bridget) and his sister Margaret Murray, his sister-in-law Joan, his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Pre deceased by her father Herbie and mother Pauline.
