Works on Phase 1 at Gaelscoil Eois in Clones is due for completion end of Q1 2025.

Progress on Clones school build

Works on the first phase of a long-awaited development at Gaelscoil Eois in Clones are due for completion by the end of the March 2025.

The project consists of the demolition of the existing school building and construction of an eight-classroom primary school with two special education teaching rooms, a new staff room, storage facilities, toilets, a multi-purpose room and a resource room. The new school will also have a connected PE Hall, with a ballcourt and junior play area.

The delivery of the building project is entrusted to Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board, which has significant experience delivering school building projects across the region. Broomfield Construction, based in Monaghan, were appointed to the project.

The Gaelscoil Eois build is one of more than half a dozen non-ETB projects being overseen by the local education provider.
