Joseph (Joe) Brennan

Balbriggan, Co. Dublin and formerly of Carrickallen, Mountain Lodge, Co. Cavan.

Peacefully in the tender care of the wonderful staff at Moorehall Lodge Nursing Home, Balbriggan.

Predeceased by his parents May & Jack and his brothers Dick, Frank & Martin.

Joseph is survived by his brother Brendan (Vera), Ballinamore, sisters Mary Murtagh (Joe), Limerick, Ann Byrne (Tom), Cavan & Bernadette McKeon, (Frank R.I.P.) Drumshanbo_ , his nieces & nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews, Lillian, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High St. Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, N41 TD62 this Friday evening from 6pm until 8pm.

Removal from the residence of his brother Brendan and sister-in-law Vera on Saturday morning arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinamore for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by cremation at 2pm at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

Matthew Carolan

Santry, Dublin / Mullagh, Cavan

Carolan, Matthew Bernard – 9th December 2024 (Santry and formerly of Killeeter, Mullagh) peacefully at home in his 80th year. He will be very sadly missed by his wife Ann, sons Paul and John and daughters Mary, Rosann and Catherine, sons-in-law Kenneth and David, daughter-in-law Christine, his adored grandchildren Eve, Sophie, Keeva, Oisín, Killian, Caitlin and Eoin, brothers John and Michael and sister Anne, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his residence on Thursday 12th December from 4pm to 7pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of the Holy Child, Whitehall arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Killian’s Cemetery, Mullagh, Co. Cavan arriving at approximately 1.30pm.

Reunited with all those gone before him.

John Mc Elroy

12 Gortan an Tennal, Knockatallon, Monaghan

The death has occurred of John Mc Elroy, 12 Gortan an Tennal, Knockatallon, Co Monaghan and formerly of Cooldavnet, Tydavnet, Co Monaghan, Wednesday 11th December, peacefully surrounded by his family in the wonderful care of the staff in Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Francis & Elizabeth, his baby brother Gerard, his brothers Francis and Thomas, sister Margaret Sherlock, brothers-in-law John Despard and Johnny Sherlock.

John will be forever loved and cherished by his brothers Eugene (Dympna) and Martin (Monica), his sisters Maura Mc Phillips (Joe), Betty Despard, Dympna Mallon (Joe) and Bridget. John's nieces and nephews will always hold him in their hearts and he will always be remembered by his cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

John will repose at Clerkins Funeral Home (H18YF22) on Thursday (12th) from 5pm with concluding prayers at 9pm. John's funeral procession will arrive to St Dympna's Church, Tydavnet on Friday (13th) for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Teresa Loughran

Cremartin, Castleblayney, Monaghan

Teresa Loughran, formerly of Cremartin and Clontarf. Peacefully in the tender loving care of the staff at Raheny House Nursing Home, Howth Road, Dublin, Tuesday 10th December 2024, in her 99th year. Predeceased by her parents, Catherine and Patrick, her brothers, Arthur (Chicago), John and Raymond (Castlebar), Frank (Ballyhaunis), sisters, Molly (Dublin), Kathleen (Athlone). Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Teresa will be reposing at Corrigan's Funeral Home, Lower Commons, Castleblayney, A75 E361, from 9.30am until 11.30am Friday, 13th of December. Funeral cortege leaving Corrigan's Funeral Home at 11.30am on Friday, to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Oram, for Funeral Mass and burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
