Festive blooms in Arva

The wonderful aroma of fresh flowers is what first greets you when entering the much-loved and popular florists, Arva Flowers, which is located in the heart of the Breffni county town along the main street.

The business is owned and run by May and Séan McIntyre who have been trading in Arva since 2019. The florist has gone from strength to strength over those intervening 15 years, in what is regarded as a bustling market town.

May took over the business from her friend who decided at the time to retire, and as she says herself: “I enjoy the job immensely and we have the most wonderful customers."

May and Séan cater for all occasions. Bouquets of flowers remain popular for birthdays and wedding anniversaries, and Séan always makes sure that everything gets delivered on time.

The couple work in conjunction with Florists Direct, which ensures there’s plenty of blooms for deliveries across counties Cavan and Longford.

Arva Flowers also stock garden ornaments, which fly out the door during the summer months, as well as bedding plants, shrubs and rose bushes.

Christmas stock includes door wreaths, ornaments, table displays, candles, plastic flower arrangements, wreaths and festive mementos for graves.

They are all big sellers at Arva Flowers and the beautiful display in-store is well worth a peek. Stock still on the shelves during Christmas week is guaranteed to be reduced in price.
