Election poll clarification

The Anglo-Celt published the results of an election poll for the constituency of Cavan and Monaghan in this week’s print issue. We did so in good faith.

The data was purporting to be from Ireland Thinks/Irish Independent following a wider poll published at the weekend.

We have now learned that this was not the case.

We are happy to confirm that Ireland Thinks/Irish Independent did not commission a poll of this nature in this constituency.

A statement to this effect will be published in our print edition next week.
