John Carolan

Finternagh, Bailieborough, Cavan

John Carolan, Finternagh, Bailieborough, Co Cavan died on the 22nd November 2024, suddenly at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Kathleen.

Deeply regretted by his loving sister Catherine, nieces Ursula (Vincent) and Sinéad, nephews Conor (Michelle) and Sean (Rachel), grand-nieces Amy, Ellen-Kate and Sophie, grand-nephews Niall, Liam, Colin, Danny, Ollie, Joe and Ben, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Tuesday, 26th November, from 5pm - 8pm. Funeral on Wednesday to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough for Funeral Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. The funeral mass can be viewed live via St. Anne's Church Webcam.

Peter Garry

19 Drumnavanagh, Cavan Town, Cavan / Partry, Mayo

Peter Garry, 19 Drumnavanagh, Cavan Town and formerly Partry, Co. Mayo, Sunday November 24th 2024, peacefully at his home in the loving care of his family. Predeceased by his son Anthony. Peter will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Grace (O'Malley), daughters Sinéad, Gráinne, Louise and Petrina, his son Shane (Lauren), his adored grandchildren Aisling, Oisín, Neil and Saoirse, his siblings Seamus, Mary, Teresa, John (All U.S.A), Martin and Una Burke (both Partry), sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and all his extended family. Also his ex colleagues in An Garda Síochána, fellow volunteers (Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association and Access for the disabled), his neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Tuesday evening from 4pm until removal at 6pm to the cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving for 6.30pm. Peter's Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday morning at 11am. Funeral prayers will take place in St. Mary's Church, Partry, Co.Mayo, on Thursday at 12 noon followed by burial in Ballyovey Cemetery.

If you so wish, donations in memory of Peter's life can be sent to Cúan Cancer Support Centre, Cavan. As was Peter's wishes, please wear some bright colours in his memory when attending any of the ceremonies.

Mary Cobine

(née Costello)

Scotch Corner, Ballybay, Monaghan

Peacefully on Sunday, 24th November 2024, at Drogheda Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Robert, her dear brother-in-law Willie, sister Kathleen and brother Ted.

Mary will be dearly missed by her beloved and devoted family; her son Thomas (Emma), daughter Caroline (Kyle), treasured grandchildren Liam and Rowan, also her sister Bridie, brothers Mick and Tommy, the entire family circle and her great neighbours and friends.

Funeral service on Wednesday, 27th November, in Clontibret Presbyterian Church, Braddox, eircode H18 V340, at 2pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Callers welcome to the family home on Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm. No parking at the house please. A shuttle bus will run to the house from Maurice Moffett engineering, eircode H18 TV07.

Leo Duffy, 2 New Street, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan. formerly of Tullycara, Castleblayney. Peacefully at Our lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Sunday 24th November. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Rose, his brothers, Gerry, Sean, Eddie, and Phil, and his sister,Mary.

Deeply regretted by his sister, Katie (Manchester) and his brother, Francie (Castleblayney). nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, and large circle of friends.

Reposing at Corrigan's Funeral Home, (A75 E361) Tomorrow, Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral cortege leaving Corrigan's Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 10:40am on foot, to arrive at St Mary's Church Castleblayney, for funeral Mass at 11am, with burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Monica (Mona) Hughes, née Murphy, Knockbane, Middletown, Co Armagh. Mona died peacefully on 23rd November 2024 with her loving family by her side. Predeceased by her beloved son Michael RIP. Mona will be sadly missed by her loving husband Noel. Devoted mother to Kevin, Shauna, Brenda, Ciaran, Clare and Stephen. Dear mother-in-law of Cormac, Karen, Gráinne and Carol. Much loved Grandmother to Emma, Dara, Rory, Ava, Katie, Ryan, Astrid, Anna, Dónie, Cónán, and Oilibhéar.

Loving daughter of the late Kathleen and Frank Murphy (Upper Darkley) RIP. Sister of Pat, Maura, Eileen, Nancy, Anthony, Eugene, Martin, Paul, Declan and the late Brian RIP.

Mona will repose at her home from 6.30pm to 11.30pm today Sunday and tomorrow Monday from 12 noon to 9pm. House private at all other times please. To avoid traffic congestion, a shuttle will run from the car park of Cross Border Electrical (Geoghegans) 342 Monaghan Rd. Middletown, BT60 4JQ during the above times.

Her remains will arrive at St. John's Church, Middletown on Tuesday 26th November for 2pm Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
