Kitsy McGirl

Derevan, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

The death has occured of Kitsy McGirl, Derevan, Ballyjamesduff, at College View Nursing Home, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her beloved son Paul, sister Phyllis, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many many friends.

MAY KITSY REST IN ETERNAL PEACE

Reposing at Matthew's Funeral Home, Virginia (A82YV58) on Monday 18th November from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10.30am in St. Joseph's Church, Ballyjamesduff followed by burial afterwards in the Old Cemetery on the Oldcastle Road.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of College View Nursing Home who cared for Kitsy with such dignity & compassion.

Lily (Elizabeth) Olwill

(née Carroll)

Cootehill, Cavan / Bray, Wicklow

The death has occurred of Lily (Elizabeth) Olwill (nee Carroll) Cootehill, Co. Cavan, formerly Bray, Co. Wicklow, Sunday 17th November 2024. Died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by husband Patsy and grandson Nathan. Lily will be forever loved and sadly missed by her loving sons Maurice and Fergal, daughter in law Annemarie, granddaughters Rebecca, Kate, Abigail and Mia, sister Mona, brother Tony, sister-in-law Teresa, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill (H16 FD25) from 4pm to 7pm on Tuesday the 19th November. Removal leaving her home on Wednesday morning (20th November) at 11.30am to arrive at St Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 12 noon funeral mass, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium (H12 RF78), Cavan.

Family Flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers to Cootehill Cancer Care c/o of Mullen’s Funeral Directors or any family member.

Eddie Sheridan

Swellan Lr., Cavan Town, Cavan

Eddie Sheridan, Swellan Lr., Cavan Town, formerly Drumcoghill, Corlismore and Ex. Eircom. November 17th 2024 peacefully in the loving care of his family and the staff at Cavan General Hospital. Pre deceased by his parents Edward and Mary Ellen, sister Margaret Griffin, New York, U.S.A.

Eddie will be very sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Julia (née Lynch), also brothers Seán (Mary), Jim (Mary), sisters Rose Carty, Eileen Corless (Jim), Lily Cunningham (Peter) and Ann McKiernan (Seán), brother in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, all his relatives and many, many friends.

May he rest in Peace.

Eddie will repose in the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan H12C821, tomorrow evening (Monday) from 5pm until 8pm. Removal from his home on Tuesday morning at 10.30am to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am Via Wolfe Tone St., Following Mass, the cortège will travel to St. Michael’s cemetery, Potahee for committal prayers and burial.

James "Tony" Comiskey

Kinnegan, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of James “Tony” Comiskey, Kinnegan, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan and formerly Glasgow.

Sunday 17th November peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the tender care of the staff in Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Briege, his parents and his sister Sissie.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his daughter Mary(Paddy) son’s Leo (Wendy) and James, grandchildren Mark, Lisa, Niamh, Aine and Patrick, great-grandchildren Lio, Ella, Shea, Carla and Jamie, brother, Leo (Castleblayney), sisters, Noeleen (Castleblayney), Treasa (Castleblayney), Betty (Hackballscross) May (Dundalk), Ann (Glasgow) and Kathleen (Glasgow),nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home in Kinnegan from 3 pm to 8pm on Monday and on Tuesday from 3 pm to 8 pm.

Removal on Wednesday morning at 10:30am arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Castleblayney for requiem mass at 11 am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery where Tony will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife Briege.

George McGinley

Carrickroe, Monaghan / Clogher, Tyrone

The death has occurred of George McGinley, Beltany, Eskra, Omagh BT78 2SD. Sunday 17th November 2024, peacefully after a short illness.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Catherine (Kelly) brothers Michael J (New York), Arthur and Terence.

Beloved brother of Mary T (Flood) Carrickroe, Co.Monaghan.

George's remains will be reposing at his late residence from Sunday until 11am Tuesday 19th November with removal to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Eskra for 12 noon Requiem Mass followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing sister, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours, friends and entire family circle.

On his soul Sweet Jesus Have Mercy.
