Fr. Donald Hannon

Arva, Cavan / Swanlinbar, Cavan

Fr. Donald Hannon P.E, Parochial House, Arva, Co. Cavan. Sunday November 10th, in the 61st year of his Priesthood. Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Esker Lodge Nursing home, Cavan. Predeceased by his parents James and Agnes brothers Kenneth, Damian, Fr Raymond, Sisters Pamela, Marian, and his brothers in law Arthur and John. Deeply regretted by his sister Carmel, nephews, Ryan, Paul, Philip, Julius, nieces Caroline, Ayesha and Tara, cousins, Bosco, Helen, Kathleen, Marian, and their families. His sister in law Alicia. His many treasured friends and especially Anne and Bill and his devoted carer Norma, Bishop Martin Hayes, Bishop Leo O'Reilly and the Priests of the dioceses of Kilmore. His beloved parishioners in Arva and former parishes.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, today Monday from 5.00pm until 7.00pm. Removal Tuesday to the Sacred Heart Church via Hannons Way, Broad Road and Main Street,Arva with reposing in the Sacred Heart Church, Arva from 3pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 1pm with interment afterwards in Coronea Cemetery. At Fr Donald's request donations in lieu of flowers to, Sacred Heart Church, Arva Renovation fund.

Dominick Johnston (Snr.)

Kesh Road, Cavan Town, Cavan

Dominick Johnston (Snr.) Kesh Road, Cavan Town. November 8th 2024 suddenly at Cavan General Hospital. Pre deceased by his parents Dominick and Rose, his infant daughter Mary, brother Tom, sisters Breege, Rose and Maureen and grandson Keegan. Beloved husband and best friend of Carmel and devoted father of Dominick Jnr. and Krystal. Dominick will be very sadly missed by his loving wife and family, his adored grandchildren Dallan, Carla, Tyler, Keelan, Micheál, Lucy and Liam. Brother Paul, sisters Philomena, Barbara and Jacquelene, brothers in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, all his relatives, many friends and good neighbours.

Dominick will repose at his Home in Kesh Rd., (H12K0N2) tomorrow (Tuesday) from 4pm until 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Following Mass, the cortege will travel to St Patrick’s Cemetery, Drumcor for committal prayers and burial in the Family plot

Margaret Kelly (Nee Kitson) Peace Commissioner, Highfield Road, Cavan Town, November 11th 2024, peacefully in the loving care of her family and the staff at Cavan General Hospital, in her 89th year.

Predeceased by her parents James and Annie Kitson, Michael John, Patsy, Nuala, Seamus, Martin, Teresa and Claire.

Beloved wife and best friend of the late Pat Kelly. Margaret will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by her devoted family, Patrick (Julie), Michael (Trine), Paul (Pauline), Stephen (Maria), Nuala (Alan), Declan, Fiona (Anthony), Fidelma (Pat), her adored grandchildren and great granddaughter, nephews, nieces, all her relatives , neighbours and many friends.

Margaret will repose at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 8pm. Removal from her home in Highfield road at 10.30 am on Thursday morning to the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock, via Wolfe Tone St. Following mass the cortege will travel to St. Brigid's Cemetery, Killygarry for committal prayers and burial in the family plot. Patrick (Pat) Monaghan

Boley, Bawnboy, Cavan

Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital after a long illness, bravely borne. Predeceased by his parents, Martin and Bridget, his son Paul, his wife Celine and his brother John. Mourned by all those who loved and cared for him.

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High St., Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, N41 TD62 this Tuesday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Removal to St. Mogue’s Church, Bawnboy on Wednesday morning arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please

Billy O'Rourke, 13 Kilnavara Crescent, Cavan Town, Friday, November 8th, suddenly and unexpectedly. Predeceased by his parents Foley and Dorothy O'Rourke, father in law Nicholas, his aunt Marie and his nephew Shane. Billy will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by his loving wife and best friend Margaret and his heartbroken sons Mark (Johanna) and Gary (Vanessa) and his adored grandson Jax. Also by his brothers Thomas, Joey, Sean, Tony and David, his sister Marie, mother in law Annamay, sisters in law, brother in law, nephews, nieces, all his extended family, good neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Beloved wife of Paddy and loving mother to Darren, Niall and Killian. Cherished sister of the late Joe, Anne and Maureen RIP

Deeply regretted and sorely missed by heartbroken husband, sons, daughters in law Rosemary & Donna, grandsons Alex, Jack, Charlie and Dáire. Her brothers, sisters and entire family circle and many friends.

Family welcome visitors to their home on Tuesday 12th November between 4pm-9pm only. House private outside of these hours and on Wednesday morning please.
