Afternoon highs of 12 to 15 degrees in mainly light westerly winds
Sunday is expected to be damp and mostly cloudy in the east to begin on Sunday with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle.
It will be drier, brighter and cooler conditions in the western half of the province, and this will gradually extend countrywide in the afternoon.
“After a mild and humid start in the east, it will turn fresher with the clearance. Afternoon highs of 12 to 15 degrees in mainly light westerly breezes,” says Met Eireann.
Sunday night will also be dry with variable cloud and clear spells.
“Colder than recent nights with lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees in a light westerly or variable breeze with a few patches of mist and fog forming around dawn.”
Monday meanwhile will be a dry day with a mix of cloud and sunshine and this will continue with a mix of cloud and clear spells.
The outlook for the week is that the band of high pressure is “still dominating”, but there is a chance of rain or showers at times. “Temperatures close to the seasonal norm.”
