It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan, as reported on RIP.ie over the past few days.
PJ (Patrick Joseph) Carroll
9 Cootehill Road, Cavan Town, Cavan
PJ (Patrick Joseph) Carroll , 9 Cootehill Road Cavan Town - peacefully in the loving care of his family and the staff at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Packie and Mary Ellen and his infant brother Thomas. Deeply loved by his wife of fifty years, Anne and the beloved father of Olivia , Annemarie, Caroline and Pauric. Adored grandfather to Ellen, Hannah, Ruairí, Dáithí, Malachi , Tadhg , Rìan and Cùan. Dearly missed by his sisters Pauline and Maureen , his brothers Martin and Sean (Dag), daughter in law Christine and son in laws Dan and Thomas, his extended family and his many friends and colleagues of the GAA Community.
Reposing at his home (9 Cootehill Rd, Cavan Town), on Thursday from 3pm until 7pm. Please use the car parking facilities at the Cathedral when calling. PJ's remains will leave his home on Friday at 2pm, traveling on foot to the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan , arriving for Funeral Mass at 2.30pm. Burial will take place afterwards in St.Brigid's Cemetery, Killygarry. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to the Palliative Care Unit at Cavan General Hospital c/o Mc Mahon Funeral Directors, Farnham Rd, Cavan.

Carlingford Lodge Nursing Home, Warrenpoint, Down / Kingscourt, Cavan
The death has occurred of Gillian Lomas, Carlingford Lodge Nursing Home, Warrenpoint, Co. Down, 27th October 2024, peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness fought with great courage and her usual good humour.
Predeceased by her parents Joseph Abner (Ab) and Molly Lee. Deeply missed by her children Nicolas, Daniel and Gillian (O'Reilly) and their Dad Graham, grandchildren Dan, Sam, Rachel, Alex, Emily, Thomas, Joseph, Corey, Molly and Saoirse, and her great-grandchildren Theo and Charlotte, brother David, son in law Darragh O'Reilly, niece, nephews, relatives and friends, especially the residents and staff of Carlingford Lodge.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Kingscourt (A82R3W2) on Friday, 1st November, from 6pm to 8pm. Gillian's cremation will take place in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, on Saturday, 2nd November, at 12 noon.

Peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff at Monaghan General Hospital and surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Rose, his brother John and sisters Philomena and Rosaleen.
Sadly missed by his sons Brendan (Kim) and Fintan (Lorraine), daughter Elaine (Brendan), partner Majella, adored grandchildren Ellie, Noah, Chloe, Amy, Ben, Rosie, Kitty and Ned, brothers in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence at Drumbear (H18Y683) on Wednesday (30/10/2024) from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Thursday (31/10/2024) from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Removal from his former residence at Lisnalee on Friday (01/11/2024) at 10.15 a.m. arriving at St. Michael’s Church, Corcaghan for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Clyde Corentin, Willow Brook Cottage, Tattygare, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan and late of Shamrock Grove, Dunleer, Co Louth and Liverpool, suddenly at home.
Clyde, beloved husband of Sharon (née Lambe) and loving father of Sean, Aaron, Aimee and Clyde (C.J.).
Predeceased by his father Clyde (Trinidad).
Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife, sons, daughter, stepson Aaron, grandchildren Sean-Patrick, Cliodhna, Darragh, Grace, Odhran, Ivy, Cillian, Eleanor and Samuel, his mother Lynda, mother-in-law Rosie, brothers-in-law Keith and Carlos, sisters-in-law Michelle and Natasha, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Bernie Lucey, née Hanly, 30th October 2024, Lacklum, Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Much loved wife of Jim, adored mother of Alice, Julie, Aoife and James. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her brother Tom, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and large circle of family and friends. Bernie is predeceased by her brothers Frank and Ailbe, sisters Nora and Maura.
Reposing at Magee Funeral Directors, Inniskeen, A91 HY72, from 4pm until 8pm on Friday 1st of November.

Removal Saturday to the Church of Mary Mother of Mercy, Inniskeen, A91 T973, arriving for 12 noon Requiem mass. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Inniskeen.

Caolan Yore
Kilmessan, Meath / Lough Egish, Monaghan
Suddenly.
Pre-deceased by his father Liam.
Dear father to his two adored young children Billy and Emily Rose.
Deeply missed and forever loved by his wife Anna, mother Carmel and brother Gavin.
Caolan will be very sadly missed by his father-in-law Lou, mother-in-law Marie, brothers-in-law William and Jeano, sister-in-law Paula and his doting nephew Isaac, Caolan will be fondly remembered by his uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, good neighbours and his colleagues Padraic and Gary whom he worked with for so long and his wide circle of very dear friends, many of whom he grew up alongside.

Reposing at his family home in Kilmessan (C15 H6P0) on Saturday from 2pm to 7pm. Arriving to The Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Kilmessan on Sunday morning for Funeral Mass at 11am. The mass can be viewed live here. Cremation afterwards in Lakeland Crematorium, Cavan.
