EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE: A touch of class at Drumheel Painting & Cleaning
Established in 2022, Drumheel Painting & Cleaning is owned and managed by sole trader Niall Reilly. The business, which has gone from strength to strength over the last two years, provides services including interior and exterior painting, window cleaning, power washing, and gutter and roof cleaning. Such is Niall's success, he is already on the cusp of expansion.
Niall spent many years learning the necessary trades while working alongside his uncles and with other contractors. He says that, in 2022, “ mydream of opening my own business became a reality” when Drumheel Painting & Cleaning began operating.
“With a little van, a ladder, a few paint brushes, rollers and window cleaning tools, I started my journey into a niche market just waiting to be tapped into,” he explains.
“I knew that providing a wide variety of services would attract customers and keep me in work all year round.
“I now have repeat customers - they trust me to do the job and do it well. My reputation means a lot to me, so I have worked hard on my attention to detail, which I believe is standing the test of time.”
Niall says that, from the moment he began working with his first customer, word of mouth played an important role for the business. “I’m two years in now and I’m proud to say that I haven’t needed to use social media to promote my business. Customer satisfaction has always been the main focus for me; pritorising even the simple things like being well presented at work - I wear a uniform - and let customers know how much I appreciate them.
“My business has grown rapidly and this has helped me to update my van and purchase all the equipment that I need to carry out the jobs that I’m asked to do.”
Every week, Niall gets inquiries and gains new customers, something he is very proud of. He aspires to get new vans on the road and hire staff.
“Eventually I plan to provide my services to people all over Ireland,” he says.
“I’m excited for the future. I’m overwhelmed to be nominated for a business award; I can’t believe it, I’m absolutely delighted.”
