The Imperial in Cavan is a family-run establishment in the heart of the county town run by the Keogan family. It is the home of fantastic local food, hand-crafted cocktails and lots of live music for over 20 years in Cavan. The team at The Imperial pride themselves on providing a warm, vibrant atmosphere in which to spend quality time with family and friends.
The establishment is run by Donal Keogan and his two sons Brandon and Cavell. The trio have created an impressive one-stop bar, restaurant and nightclub setting for all occasions on Cavan’s Main Street.
In their restaurant you'll find chefs serving some fantastic dishes using locally sourced produce, and taking inspiration from an array of international culinary dishes. Their head chef has created a balanced and versatile gastro food menu that fuses the character, vibrancy and warmth of Irish hospitality with world flavours. Their dining menu provides the perfect addition to any occasion from your work lunch to family celebrations.
The newest addition to the Keogan family business is The Metric, a stunning versatile space hosting everything from quiz nights, to private parties or functions. Cocktails are always on their menu inspired by the classics. The Imperial uses only the freshest ingredients and top quality spirits in their mixology. Their preparation ensures a picture-perfect cocktail coupled with a delightful experience for the tastebuds.
The business was recognised by IMRO as National Live Music Venue of the Year 2024. It is known locally as Cavan's premier live music venue; they host local live acts in the bar, every Thursday to Sunday.
Still in the same location, Imperial guests can also make their way to the nightclub upstairs where you can expect some of the country's best live bands and DJs, not to mention quirky event nights such as Bingo Loco.
