Annual Ladies’ Lunch in Cavan ‘sold out’
Cuan Cancer Support has been chosen once again as the beneficiary.
The annual Ladies’ Lunch is just around the corner, a local event that has helped raise tens of thousands of euros for local charities down through the years.
Once again the lunch takes place at the Farnham Estate, and for the second year in a row organisers have chosen Cuan Cancer Support as the beneficiary. The event is sold out but two lucky winners who bought raffle tickets will be announced this coming Friday.
Last year's lunch raised €30,000 for Cuan, which provides psychological and emotional support services for men and women living locally with a cancer diagnosis. This upcoming event, which takes place on October 19, will be the eighth annual Ladies Lunch.
It originally started out as an initiative to raise money for a playground for Farnham National School and has grown since then from 69 ladies lunching to close to 250 attending last year’s gathering.
As in previous years the gala lunch will begin with prosecco reception, followed by a three-course meal, fashion show and live music by Smash Hits 90s and DJ Gary Smith. There will also be spot prizes, raffle prizes, and presentations for best dressed and more.
