Bereavement notices for Cavan and Monaghan
It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie. There were no deaths reported in County Monaghan.
Molly Maguire
Derrymore, Bawnboy, Cavan
Peacefully in the loving care of the nurses, doctors and staff at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her family, Saturday 5th October 2024.
Predeceased by her parents and her 2 sisters - Anna Rose Maguire, Tonlagee and Kathleen Caffrey, Derrymore.
Molly will be sadly missed by her nieces Angela (the late Paddy) and Patricia (Peter) and her nephew Kieran (Sharon), her eleven grandnieces and nephews and her nine great grandnieces and nephews and all relatives, neighbours and friends.
Rest in Peace
Removal to St. Patrick's Church Corlough this Monday evening arriving at 7pm.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery

Peter O Reilly
Crubany, Cavan
Peter O Reilly, Crubany, Cavan, Saturday October 5th 2024, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, after bravely fighting a long illness.
Predeceased by his parents John James and Annie, his brother James and his sisters Nan and Kathleen.
Peter will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Rose and his sons and daughters, Madonna (Pat), Declan (Kathleen), Joann (Paul), Michael (Susan), Linda (Robbie), John (Lauren) and Myles (Claire) and by all his loving grandchildren. Also by his sisters Betty Cobey (Crosskeys) and Dolly Reynolds (Mohill), his brother Michael (Seattle), nieces, nephews, all his extended family and many friends. May he rest in peace. House private to family and friends at all times please.
Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12 C821) on Monday evening from 4pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal from his home in Crubany on Tuesday morning at 11.30am, travelling to St.Brigid's Church, Killygarry for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon. Burial will take place afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired to the Oncology Unit Cavan or the Palliative Care Unit Cavan c/o Mc Mahon Funeral Directors, Cavan or donation box in the Funeral Home. Peter's Funeral Mass will be available to watch live and a link will be posted here in due course.
Terry O'Reilly
Knockateggart, Stradone, Cavan
Peacefully at The Lisdarn Unit, Cavan. Beloved husband of the late Lily. Deeply regretted by his loving sons Kevin, Terence and Brian, daughters Elizabeth, Bernadette and Colette. Sadly missed by his sisters Teresa and Lily, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren Shannon, Ciaran, Pauric, Conor, Cayla, Alannah, Darragh and Dearbhla, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Lakeland's Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, tomorrow Sunday from 6pm - 8pm. Removal from the residence of his son Kevin and daughter-in-law Angela on Monday, to arrive at St. Michael's Church, Clifferna for Funeral Mass at 12noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
