It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie.

Sean Smith

Lavey, Stradone, Cavan

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sean Smith (Painter & Decorator), peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family after a very short illness on Thursday, 3rd October 2024. Cherished husband to Bernie, treasured father to Declan, Shane and Denise. Fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law Maeve and his adored grandchildren Clodagh, Rebecca and Donnacha.

Sean was predeceased by his parents, Benny and Margaret and his brother Andy. Sean will be sorely missed by his brothers Phil and Paul, his sisters-in-law Kathleen, Bernie and Ann, his nephews, nieces, in-laws, friends, neighbours and a wonderful, dedicated work community stretching far and wide.

MAY SEAN REST IN ETERNAL PEACE

Sean will repose privately at home with his family today Friday and tomorrow Saturday. Removal on Sunday, to arrive at St. Dympna's Church, Upper Lavey (A82 XW61) for Funeral Mass at 1pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

THE FAMILY HOME IS STRICTLY PRIVATE

Zac (Richard) Cusack

Terenure, Dublin / Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Zac “Richard” Cusack passed away, on October 1st, in Monaghan Town, formerly of Dublin and his beloved San Francisco. Zac will be sadly missed and remembered always by his loving family, his sisters Catherine and Noelle, his brother-in-law Paul, his nephews, extended family and many loyal loving friends in San Francisco and beyond.

A celebration of Zac's life will take place on Wednesday, October 9th, at 2.30pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium. If you are unable to attend you may view on the link below:

(née Smith)

Kilmarnock, Scotland and formerly of Cloughvalley, Carrickmacross, Monaghan.

The death has occurred of Kathleen Fowler (née Smith), Kilmarnock, Scotland and formerly of Cloughvalley, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. September 7th 2024 suddenly at her residence. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her husband Robbie, son Ryan and Cameron, daughter Leanne, her parents Eric and Mary Smith, her beloved grandchildren, sisters Christina and Patricia, brother Johnny, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Kathleen will be reposing at her home in Kilmarnock, on Monday (7th Oct) from 7pm. Removal on Tuesday afternoon (8th Oct) at 2pm to arrive at Holmsford Bridge Crematorium KA11 4EF for Cremation Service at 2.30pm.

Elizabeth Murphy

(née Curley)

Clones, Monaghan / Tyrone / Dundalk, Louth

Elizabeth Murphy (née Curley) Clones Co Monaghan and formerly of Garvaghey Co Tyrone. Peacefully in her 103th year in the wonderful care of the staff of Curam Care Nursing Home Dundalk 2nd October 2024. Predeceased by her husband Thomas and her son Anthony.

She will be sadly missed by her family Eugene, Mary, Joan and Gemma, her son in law Ru, daughter in law Deirdre, grandchildren, Anthony, Aislinn, Joseph, Brian, John, partners, Paola, Daniël and Shannon, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours ,

May She Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her daughter Joan’s home Kilcurly (A91YD88) on Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 7pm. Removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Clones, Co Monaghan on Monday morning at 9.30am arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards at Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.
