Drumlinia movie competition deadline extended
The deadline for the Drumlinia '3 Minute Movie' competition has been extended to Friday, October 4.
The competition is a brand new addition to this year’s Drumlinia Music/Media Industry Festival 2024.
The free event will take place in Townhall Cavan on Friday October 25 at 8pm.
Aspiring directors, film makers, and creatives aged 17 years and up are encouraged to apply for the competition by Friday, October 4.
They accept submissions of films ranging from two to three minutes in length. This year, all genres and all film/digital formats are accepted from professional cameras to footage shot on mobile phones.
The prize for the overall winner is an opportunity to have a one-day work experience opportunity at one of Ireland's largest production companies, ShinAwiL who are based in Dublin. They are the makers of Dragons' Den, Dancing with the Stars, Home of the Year, Maryland, Catch, Miss Scarlet and The Duke.
The prize is an opportunity for up an coming film makers to get experience and make a first impression in the film and TV world.
The winner will also have a one-to-one tutorial with professional film score composer Michele Busdraghi to learn how to create music to suit film, and have their film uploaded to Cavan Arts website as the Drumlinia 2024 Best Overall Film.
