Marita Rogers (née Murray)

Kilbride, Meath / Ballyconnell, Cavan

The death has occurred of Marita Rogers (née Murray), Kilbride, Co. Meath and formerly of Snugboro, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan on September 19th 2024, suddenly, surrounded by her family, at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.

Cherished wife of Joe, much loved mother of Gary, Susan, Karen, Noreen, Joseph, Jennifer and Niamh and adoring grandmother of Adam, Amy, Luke, Jake, Matthew, Sophie, Isabelle, James, Warren, Callum, Alessia, Sadhbh, Aoibh, Méabh and Gerard and great-grandmother of Baby Cole. Pre-deceased by her parents James (Jimmy) and Mary (May) and her brothers Peter, John and Padraic.

Reposing at her home on Sunday, 22nd September and Monday, 23rd September from 4pm to 8pm. House private on Tuesday morning please.

Removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Kilbride, on Tuesday morning, 24th September arriving for Requiem Mass at 12noon followed by burial in Kilbride Cemetery.

Rosemary Sullivan Fehr

Stamullen, Meath / Julianstown, Meath / Dublin / Cavan

A Memorial Mass and gathering for the family and friends of Rosemary will take place at 11am on 12th October in St Patrick's Church, Stamullen, Co. Meath. We wish to remember and celebrate the life of a much loved mother and sister who died at her home in Solothurn, Switzerland on 17th August, 2023.

Rosemary will be sorely missed and never forgotten by her grieving sons Bernhard and Lee-Owen, brothers Tomás (Tom), James and Patrick, sisters-in-law, nephews, cousins, and all who knew her.

Anne Watters (née Reilly)

4 Townparks, Ballyhaise, Cavan

Anne Watters (née Reilly), 4 Townparks, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan, died Saturday September 21st 2024, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Joe and her daughters in law Edith and Eileen. Anne will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by her heartbroken family, Mattie, Marie (John Joe), Martin (Maria), Cathy (Dermot), Bernadette (Paul), Maggie and Sandra (Andy), her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers Benny, Peter, Eamon, Jimmy, John, Eugene and Paddy, sisters Susan (Dublin), Mary (Chicago) and Rosie (Birmingham), brothers in law, sisters in law, all her extended family, her very good neighbours and many very good friends.

Anne's remains will leave her home on Tuesday morning at 10.30am, travelling on foot to St. Mary's Church, Ballyhaise for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Following mass the cortege will travel to Lakelands Crematorium, via her home and the Castletara Roadd, for a cremation service at 1 o'clock.

Catherine Ward (née Byrne)

Griffith Court, Marino, Dublin / Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of Catherine Ward (née Byrne), Griffith Court, Marino, Dublin 3 on 21st September 2024. Peacefully, surrounded by her cherished family, at the Mater Private Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by her parents Patrick & Catherine and her sister Margaret.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her beloved family; her husband John and her son David (Maeve), her much-loved grandchildren; Tadhg, Donnacha & Senan, her brothers Terry, Malachy & Tom and her sister Mary, her extended family, friends and neighbours.

Catherine will repose at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand, on Tuesday, 24th September, from 5pm until 7pm. Her funeral cortège will leave the funeral home on Wednesday, 25th September, arriving to Saint Vincent de Paul Church, Griffith Avenue, Marino, D09 KN83, for Funeral Mass at 11:30am followed by burial in Balgriffin Cemetery. Mona Reilly Nee Lynch, Ballinamoney Bailieborough, Co Cavan died on the 22nd September 2024 peacefully in St. Mary's Nursing Home, Castleblaney surrounded by her loving family and staff of the Drumlins Unit. Predeceased by her loving husband Peter, parents, brothers and sister.

Deeply regretted by her sons Noel, P.J. (Brid) and Michael (Teresa), daughters Bridie (Michael), Helen (Seamus), Ann (Gerry) and Agnes (Damien), grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Bridie, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and wide circle of friends.

Michael McGivney, Crenew Lane, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan died Sunday, September 22nd (peacefully) at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Maggie, sisters Madge McGivney and Noreen McElchar, brothers-in-law Charlie Fleming and Tony McElchar.

Michael will be sadly missed by his sister Rose Fleming (Drumlion, Ballinagh), his many nieces and nephews, the extended McGivney and Cahill Families, his wonderful neighbours and friends.

Terence P (TP) Shannon, Derrylena, Butlersbridge, Co.Cavan died Monday, September 23rd 2024, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parent's Philip and Bridget and his brothers Ambrose, Packie and Oliver. T.P will be very sadly missed by his loving family, his brother John, sister Maura Webber (USA), sisters-in-law Margaret, Mary and Veronica, brother in law Charles, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, all his extended family and many friends.

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12 C821) on Tuesday evening from 6pm until 8pm. TP's remains will leave the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 10.30am and will travel to St. Aidan's Church, Butlersbridge, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Following Mass the burial will take place in the family plot in St.Aidan's Cemetery, Butlersbridge.

Winit died peacefully in her husband's embrace at St James' Hospital, Dublin, following a short illness borne with great faith and dignity.

Rose Fulton (nee Clarke), Cavan Road, Bailieborough, Co Cavan died on the 23rd September 2024 in her 99th year, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the exceptional care of the Newgrange Unit in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her beloved grandson Joseph and son-in-law David.

Deeply regretted by her sons Joseph (Eileen) and Paddy (Rosemary), daughters Angela, Marguerite (Pat) and Rosemary (Bert), grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her many friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Wednesday 25th September from 5pm - 8pm. Funeral to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough on Thursday for funeral mass at 12 o'clock with burial afterwards in St. Anne's Cemetery. Padraig McCooey, Drumacoon, Newbliss, Co. Monaghan died Sunday, 22nd September peacefully at home in the loving care of his family.

Loving husband to Geraldine and father to Andria (Paul), Claire, Niall (Julie) and Conor. Grandfather to Sophia, Joel and Clara.

Reposing at his home on Monday and Tuesday from 3.00pm to 9.00pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St. Laobhain Church, Killeevan for 11.00am Funeral Mass. Refreshments in the Acorn Centre, Newbliss immediately afterwards.

Fred passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Dearly loved husband of the late Annie, partner of Emily and loving father of Irene, Ivan, Yvonne, Nigel, Ruth and Alan, father-in-law to Tony, Mervyn, Brian, Kellie-Ann and Jarissa, grandfather and great-grandfather, brother of Agnes, Irene, Ruth and William John. Callers welcome to the family home on Monday and Tuesday 23rd and 24th September from 2pm.

Funeral service at 2pm on Wednesday 25th September in Saint Maeldoids Church Castleblayney. Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
