Munster and Connacht played out an inter-pro thriller at Thomond Park, where it finished Munster 35 and Connacht 33 in the first URC game of the season for both provinces.

Munster's Shane Daly's try, which was converted by Tony Butler 10 minutes from time, was enough to see them over the line.

John Hodnett and Gavin Coombes also notched second half tries for the reds.

Connacht's new signing Ben Murphy crossed over the try line twice in the first half.

Ulster have welcomed champions Glasgow Warriors to Ravenhill for a game where they have just kicked off, and it remains scoreless at the time of writing.
