Chef's Delight: Air Fryer Crispy Chilli Beef
A WORD FROM THE CHEF
This is an incredible fakeaway recipe that you can make in no time at home. The coating on the beef really makes sure that the sauce sticks so nicely to it. It’s quick and easy taking just 10 minutes to prepare and 12 minutes to cook.
INGREDIENTS
(Serves two)
One Cowboy steak, sliced thinly
One organic egg
3-4tbsp Cornflour
For the sauce
One sweet white onion, sliced
½ green pepper, sliced
One clove of garlic, chopped
A thumb-sized piece of ginger, grated
50ml tomato ketchup
50ml sweet chilli sauce
2tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
Two fresh chillies, sliced
METHOD
Coat the steak with the egg then add in the flour. Mix well to coat then shake off the excess flour.
Place onto the crisp plate within your air fryer drawer, spray with oil then cook at 210c for 10 minutes shaking halfway through.
While the beef is cooking, add some rapeseed oil into a large frying pan. Add the onion, pepper, then the garlic and ginger. Fry for two minutes. Add in the rest of the sauce ingredients, then cook for a further three minutes until reduced and sticky.
Add the crispy beef into the pan and toss to glaze. Serve it all up with some jasmine rice and enjoy.
