The peaceful death has occurred of Rita Vaughan (née White) Lahinch, Co. Clare and formerly of Arva, Co. Cavan. Beloved wife of the late Eamon and predeceased by her sisters Maura and Nuala, brother Seán, adored niece Aoife, brothers and sisters-in-law.

Deeply loving mother of Nuala and Caitríona (Kate), mother-in-law to Neil and grandmother to Conor, Jane and Ali. Rita will be sadly missed by Megan, Jesús, her sister Fidelma, sisters-in-law Mary and Máire, brother-in-law Finbar, lifelong friend Fr. Joe Kelly, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, wonderful neighbours, dear friends and faithful Kelly.

Reposing at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Lahinch on Tuesday, September 17th, from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, September 18th, at 12 noon, followed by burial in the New Cemetery, Ennistymon. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society or Milford Hospice.

Peter Kelly

Keadue, Cathedral Road, Cavan Town, Cavan / Cloone, Leitrim

Peter Kelly, Keadue, Cathedral Road, Cavan Town, formerly Ardloher, Cloone, Co. Leitrim and Teagasc, Ballyhaise Agricultural College, Co. Cavan. Beloved husband of the late Maureen (nee McGoldrick) Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, son of the late Tom and Mary Kelly and brother of the late Mel, Paddy and Marcella. Peter passed away suddenly at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday September 15th 2024. Devoted Father of Peter, Mary and Thomas. Peter will be very sadly missed by his loving family, son in law Conor Noonan, daughter in law, Lorraine Kelly, his adored grandson Shane, cherished brother of Seán, (Co. Westmeath), Nellie Hale (USA) Mary Reynolds (Leitrim) and Chris (Kilkenny) his sisters in law, brothers in law, good friend John Mohan, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, cousins, all his relatives and many friends.

Peter will repose at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan H12C821 on Friday evening from 4.30pm until 6.30pm. Funeral Home will be private to family from 6.30pm until removal at 7pm. to the Cathedral of Ss. Patrick & Felim, Cavan, arriving at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday afternoon at 1pm. Following Mass, the cortege will travel to Cullies cemetery for committal prayers and burial in the family plot.

The death has occurred of John Robert Jordan. “Meadowview”, Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan, and late of Carrickacleevan, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. Monday 16th September 2024. Peacefully at the family home of Lorna & Kenneth Hamilton “Meadowview”, Cornafean, Arva, Co Cavan H12 H425. Predeceased by his wife Daisy, son Bobby, sister May and his nephew Robert. John Robert will be sadly missed by his sister Susan, nephew Samuel, the Good and Hamilton families, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Resting at the family home of Lorna & Kenneth Hamilton today, Tuesday, from 4pm to 7pm. Removal on Wednesday 18th at 12.45pm to Ballintemple Parish Church for Funeral Service at 1.30pm followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan. FARRELLY (Johnstown, Killiney, Co. Dublin, late of Drumbar, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan) September 15th 2024 (peacefully) in St Vincent’s Private Hospital (Francis) Frank, beloved husband of the recently deceased Anne, loving father of Mary and John. Sadly missed by his children, daughter-in-law Ruth, adored granddaughters Rachel and Hazel, his sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, former colleagues of the ESB, neighbours and friends. Remembering also his late siblings.

Reposing Tuesday (September 17th) at his home from 5pm to 7pm. Removal Wednesday (September 18th) to Our Lady of Good Counsel, Church, Johnstown, Killiney, arriving for 10am Funeral Mass and can be viewed online here, followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park.

Swiftbrook Glen, Virginia, Co. Cavan and formerly, Fennor Lower, Oldcastle, Co. Meath.

The death has occurred of Rebecca Conaty, Swiftbrook Glen, Virginia, Co. Cavan and formerly, Fennor Lower Oldcastle, unexpectedly in the Mater Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by her loving family. Much loved daughter of Andrew and Rachel and adored sister of Clare and Philip. Rebecca will be sadly missed by her parents,her sister and brother, and will be sorely missed as a much cherished Aunt to her nieces Saoirse and Aoibheann and as a much loved Godmother to Cillian, her brother in law David, and her sister in law Jane, her aunts and uncles, cousins, her amazing friends and work colleagues (ATA Cavan).

Reposing at Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82YV58) on Wednesday evening from 5 o'clock until 8 o'clock. A celebration of Rebecca's life will take place in Matthews Funeral Home on Thursday at 1 o'clock followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Margaret Flanagan

Cremartin House, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Margaret Flanagan (Neé Connelly), Cremartin House, Castleblayney, Co.Monaghan. Sunday September 15th, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff Willow Bridge Unit of Monaghan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Thora and Bernard Connelly.

Margaret deeply regretted and remembered with love by her family, husband Gerard, sons and daughters Mark, Linda, Rodney, Gary, Nigel, Gerard, Darren and Priscilla, brother Peter, daughters in-law, sons in-law, her cherished grandchildren and her adored great-granddaughter, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Margaret will repose at Wards Funeral Home Ballybay (A75H585) tomorrow Tuesday from 4pm until 8pm. Margarets funeral cortège will travel from her late home (Cremartin House) on Wednesday morning at 10:40am to arrive St Michael’s Church Annyalla for funeral mass at 11am followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.
