Sinn Féin Plan to deliver childcare for €10 per day
Party to invest €345M in the sector.
33,188 children in Cavan would benefit from Sinn Féin’s plan to deliver childcare at a cost of €10 per day.
That's according to local TD, Deputy Pauline Tully who says a fully costed plan involving an investment of €345M - which was launched last week by the party - is ready to be delivered in its first year of Government.
“Figures show that here in Cavan there are 33,188 children in childcare who would benefit from Sinn Féin’s plan,” she continued before highlighting the “real difference” this would make to local families.
“For far too long childcare in Ireland has been too expensive; under Sinn Féin’s plan, if your child attends childcare or a childminder full-time, five days a week, we will cut your childcare costs from €800 to €200 a month. Too many families struggle to find a suitable childcare place and are stuck on long waiting lists.”
Meanwhile, the Plan also includes solutions to increasing capacity in the sector.
