Celtic Challenge Qualifier takes place in Belturbet

The Celtic Challenge Qualifier, which will see the Best Triple petanque teams in Ireland compete for a place on the Ireland team who'll travel Scotland next year, will take place in Belturbet later today (Sunday, September 15).

The event will take place at the Cavan Petanque Club at Belturbet Golf Club.

The qualifier is a decider for who will compete against Scotland and Wales next year over the May Bank Holiday.

Cavan has three teams entered in Sunday's event, one of which is the local club's Ulster championship winners.
